Would not be surprised. He was a decent part of the rotation last year at both NT and DT. And once you become a Cowboy, it's much easier to stay a Cowboy.

Don't consider Watkins slop, just not the difference maker that most of us want the team to sign. He was actually probably one of our best interior performers last year ... and that tells you the state of our interior. Unless the young guys take a leap forward, it's going to continue to just be so-so and the weakest link on defense because we don't have any playmakers there. Watkins is a decent rotational piece having to be looked at for more than that because of our failure to really address the DT spots.

He will be depth. He only started because Gallimore was banged up most of the year. He's cheap, he's solid and played well. Likely 1-2 million dollar deal.

It's a solid not elite defense on paper.

I just don't understand how they don't realize a guy like Wagner puts this team in top tier status.
