Free Agent WR Brandin Cooks says Dallas doesn't do enough to help Dak Prescott

Actually have a point here. I’m not trying to be funny, sarcastic, or take a shot at Dak. I believe the organization is not doing enough to win. If you want to personalize it with 1 player then yes the organization is not doing enough to support Dak. If Dak feels this then he will carry this into games. Especially big games. You can see it sometimes when he gets that look on his face. If the team isn’t going to do enough to help him as far as supporting cast then at least bring in a sports psychologist to help him stay in the moment and not get overwhelmed.

You can almost see it in games when the momentum has shifted and he tightens up. Jerry can afford a sports psychologist to help with the mental piece.
Great post. Yes, he does seem to get overwhelmed at a certain point. Usually when things start going south. But even if a psychologist works in ridding him of the jitters under pressure situations, that only goes so far. You can't surround him like he's Peyton Manning, Mahomes, or Aaron Rodgers in his prime and expect the team to contend. He's not those QBs at his best.

Dak’s mobility and scrambling looked fine at the beginning of last season before getting injured. Dak’s mobility was adequate during his 4th quarter comeback win at the Steelers. Let's hope he can fully recover from that torn hamstring.

:huh:.....so you picked a win, but where was the SCRAMBLING and MOBILITY, which was the point in question.

As for his injury, of course we want him to recover, if he doesnt (and Jerry's unlikely to cut him), we'll potentially be left with 20% of our CAP sitting on the IR.

Good to see you guys have moved on from "Dak would win with the Chiefs" to "Dak would win with the Eagles."

Dak has a gold jacket coming from all his hypothetical Lombardi trophys.
Your fellow Dak hater asked the question and so I answered. One person says Dak would win with the Chiefs now that means everyone lol. Dak haters say and do the silliest things lol.

9 years ago? How about a year ago your starting running back was Zeke Elliott lol. Let me guess bemoaning a year ago does nothing either lol? Stephen has lied to you.

I know this probably sucks for you to see this but in the past 9 years DAk has only had 2 years of more than a 40 million dollar salary and as you can see on the right it was only 17 percent of the cap. And his salary of 52 million is only 17 percent of the cap hit.

Look at all thos eyearsl...cap hit .3 percent of the cap lol. .4 percent...1 percent....

Stephen has lied to you about Dak's salary.

You're deflecting again.....this time about how Jerry couldnt give Dak the team to win. DAK NEEDS TOO MUCH TO SUCCEED.......

.... I BET YOU LOVED THE 2023 TEAM (WE ALL DID)....that was a complete roster??? The only real addition would of been Henry at the trade deadline....and then we would still of lost to GB and wouldnt have Guyton nor BeeBe. We still come up short, mainly because as soon as the Defense gave up an early TD and an Interception later Dak was in 1000 yard stare territory and Jerry in tears.

This reminds me of the arguments the old Jason Garrett stans would make: "You can't judge him until everything around him is perfect!"

Life doesn't work that way. No QB (or coach) has ideal circumstances. Dak had the best OL and one of the best RBs in the game when he got the job. He's had Pro Bowlers at WR. He's had good enough defenses. He just isn't good enough.

Did you not watch the video? Dak scrambled and ran the ball to the 1/2 yard line. He then followed it up by diving on the fumble committed by Rico the play after. Kept the drive alive for the winning TD.

Stay focused. He's right. The organization is showing yall they don't care about winning a championship.
Well something we all agree upon. However some still believe that Dak has the ability to get us there, hence the building a team around him....others say its too late, especially after 2023 (which most agree was pretty decent roster).

We're stuck with Dak for the next 4 years if he stays healthy. We should all be hoping Jerry surrounds him with a better team.

The only way around it was for Jerry to bring back the 2023 (GB losing roster) and getting Dak to a career ending contract which would of hit the CAP% way lower than the 17% hits of 2024 and 2025.....but even then, that composure issue is still the mitigating factor (especially for the risk averse Jerry).

As you say, it comes down to Dak's ability (especially under pressure).

In theory yes, but, in reality.....Dak's unlikely to improve and Jerry wont be able to build a team to rival the 2023 (Tyron, Martin etc) roster. From where we are, and with the CAP being allocated, just to keep us standing still (Tyler, Bland, Micah), hoping for a bounce back in 4 years behind a QB that needs everything (both sides of the ball) is somewhat futile.

So 3 yards and then falling on the ball is proof of mobility.... jeez. A cherry picked argument.....which is the very reason why fans argue back with fans who continually back Dak as a QB that's capable of going deep into the playoffs.....despite never being able to do it up to this point.

All it takes is 1 season to notice if Dak is going to improve or not. No need to wait 4 years. If Dak doesn't show improvement in 2025, it's time to draft his replacement in 2026.

agree. and you cant pay him like he is elite like those guys, either. if he cant put the team on his back and carry them, then pay him accordingly. It was a huge mistake.

I'm deflecting because i'm disputing your misinformation? You said they can't build a team around him because of his 60 million dollar cap hit and 40 million dollar cap hit and he's only had TWO YEARS of cap hits that high.

In regards to what Derrick HEnry would've done or wouldn't I can't say. If you're trying to say that Henry and injured Pollard are the same caliber of player and it wouldn't have mattered I can't say that. IF Henry comes out the game with one of those 50 yard touchdowns he has a tendency of doing then who knows the trajectory of the game. I Just know a defense is more fearful of Derrick Henry then they are Tony Pollard.

This whole argument of "wouldn't have mattered" is silly crap that the Jones's like to use. Oh lets not try and sign Herny becasue it wouldn't have mattered. That's not how you run a franchise.

His salary cap hit is an excuse the front office and fan use for incompetence. He's had a salary cap hit of over 40 million TWICE in his career. His cap hits have been less than 17 percent.

Its how you manage your salary cap. Dak's contract long term may be a mistake but for 9 years it hasn't been a issiue.
