Like I've said since the day all this Demarco stuff started.. Space to run matters.

Week 1 and 2 there was not much there..

Week 3... Explosion.

Care to re-evaluate? An NFL game is four quarters. We play two very well. Christine would have helped immensely today in the 2nd half where it was obvious Atlanta had figured our offensive strategy out. Fresh legs. Tough yards. We needed it badly in that 2nd half.

Perhaps this will be the week that our coaches realize CM can provide that ying to Randle's yang.

I'm dead serious. When it's time to bear down and control the clock we can't do it. That's a problem. We have change of pace backs trying to control the clock. That's never going to work... & it bit us today.

Michael probably could have closed out that game with some tough inside runs. Randle can't handle any congestion, it's an automatic negative play.

We are going to get exploited like that every week until we finally realize Michael can provide that inside pop we need to control the clock. Our offense did our defense zero favors today particular in the second half where the D could have used some breathers. Zero clock control.

I agree it's time to get him on the field. I like the huge runs that Randle can make, but what we miss about Murray is that we were constantly going forward and getting continuous third downs.

Randle turns two yard runs into negative plays..stuttering in the backfield, he's an idiot.

I think Randal and DMC have played well, and of course Dunbar has looked good in teh passing game. But Michael gives us something the others don't in the running game.
As far as the "You can't activate four RBs on game day" crowd, activate Dunbar in place of Lucky (who has done nothing) as the 5th WR. He can play both, therefore your three activated RBS are Randal, DMC and Michael. And Dunbar can line up in two places.

Ok. Just looking for clarification. Thanks...

What do we have to lose by activating Michael and sitting McFadden for one game? Care to provide some insight?
I'm not opposed to that, and I have no particular opinion on Michael, pro or con. But I find the idea that a different RB would've had a huge positive impact on this game absurd.

Right. Dunbar is proving why they were adamant about keeping him around. He is showing his versatility. He's a LB's nightmare in the middle of the field. Good luck trying to cover him. Lucky has been on a milk carton. If we really want to keep all 3 rbs on the field with Michael, this would work.

Yes. I think you've made that crystal clear. I happen to think having the type of running back active on the roster that moves chains is of major value. So we can agree to disagree.

I guess so. I don't think Michael would've moved the chains in the second half of this game. Heck, I don't think Eric Dickerson would've moved the chains in the second half of this game.

Really??? I saw a lot of meat left on the bone both by our oline & Randle. Tough yards are not Randle's forte.

I saw a lot of Falcons right up at the line of scrimmage. Like you, I saw a lot of issues with the OL. And yes, I saw places where Randle could've had a couple more yards here and there. But not significant yards. No, the the answer to that defense was to throw, not run with a different guy.
