Draft to,the rescue.
So, let's run down what we will be expected to nail in this seven pick draft:

1. Quality starting pass rusher
2. Starting right tackle or at very least decent swing
3. Starting corner
4. Starting safety or at least a quality nickel back
5. Second TE who can do more than block
6. Backup tailback/3rd down back (don't you dare say we got Dunbar, I will keeeel you)
7. WR for the future who can play ST

McClay pulls that off, get his bust made in Canton.

Just goes to show you that free agency is important and cap room is important.

Even though this has been whispered for weeks, this is a pants down moment.

Unless of course you buy the nonsense that Chaz Green can play. Or better yet, just stay on the field.

Better get moving quick or just pack it in and cross your fingers.

pass rusher - need
RT - probably a free agent within their budget. since wagner and whitworth are gone, the remaining ones should fit their budget. they did not want to weaken the O since the D is in bad shape. so they would probably replace Free soon
corner - need
SS - need but less than rusher and corner
RB - may be McFadden - there is always Dunbar!
Second TE - who knows, may be - but defense comes first
WR - wait for 2018

We obviously need to get a FA tackle for insurance....

We need to restructure dez probably...

Unreal that we have next to zero cap space with as many holes as we have..... I seriously cannot wait till we get out of Tonys contract I hopes its a lesson never to get stuck in a similar one again

Obviously, if we had the choice of any of our starting offensive linemen leaving it would be Free. We can replace him. However, I hope that Dallas doesn't think like some here do that we can just insert Green or Cleary. I don't mind either one of them ending up as the starter, but I actually want them to beat out a proven starter for the job, even if it's someone who's on their last legs like Free.

$5 million in new cap room is enough space to sign the best OT on the market. They will make a move soon to address this. Moving Collins out there and bringing Cooper or another guard in is an option as well. If they go that route, they will have extra cap space to go get another piece for the defense.

That RT spot is more crucial if lael can do it they should move him there and roll with cooper or whoever at lg

We just got 5 million for free and had like 6 million yesterday=11 million. If Romo is released that's another 5 million. 11/16 million is plenty to work with. Relax

I'm not sure how 4-7 is difficult to do when you consider the players that are being replaced
