Anyone ever thought about joining a Masonic Lodge? Looks interesting.

I'm not a man of reputable character, so I can't join, but still.

my grandfather was a mason, his brothers did a nice little reading at the funeral, but their tradition screwed up his army brothers flag folding tradition because both require the closing of the casket so the army brothers had to open the casket to put the flag in.

lol didn't mean to go off on a spiel there.

over here the politics of the two main football clubs is too tightly woven in to society. in this country the masons are almost exclusively protestant rangers supporters a lot of whom are also members of the orange lodge so being a celtic fan with a catholic father i have no interest whatsoever in joining them. my grandfather on my mothers side was in the masons and once got flung out of their lodge for singing the forty shades of green on the karaoke as it was deemed "fenian rebel pish" so no the masons are not for me.

Some conspiratorial ramblings about the Illuminati, banks, twelve world regions, and twinkies.

Well, maybe nothing about twinkies....

They'll probably overlook the character issues if you can sing decent Karaoke.

that's about all there is to it. he'd had a few drinks and decided to sing his favourite song at the time. the people in the masons here tend to be very staunch protestant and loyalist - ie pro queen and union - so therefore deemed the fact that the song was irish made it a rebel song in support of an independent ireland and they weren't having that sort of catholic nonsense sung in their lodge so he was "escorted from the premises"
