Colt McCoy obviously impressived Jerry, we should look into getting him.

Manziel with low compensation and no expectation of stating wouldn't be av terrible trade, and would cement Jerry as a later executive essentially getting martin and manziel. Understudying under Romo would be a very different environment for him here.

The trouble is that Manziel may not ever progress much beyond where he is now... and that's as a horrible QB.

Plus addiction is tough to break. One trip may not do it.

I'd rather have McCoy.

A vet FA like McCoy could work. Or Matt Moore.
I also would not be too upset if we threw a 5th or something at a guy like Sean Mannion.

Jerry prolly thinks under David Wells watch, he can turn JFB around. Browns dont sound like they have their heart set on keeping him.

Welp Mannion's OC last year none other than John Garrett.

Conditional 7th for JFB and idk if I'd even want him at that.

But I'm not Jerry.

And he's horrific. If he is taken in the fifth, you wasted a pick. As an UDFA, that would be acceptable. He simply is not consistent at all.

Jerry most likely talking about drafting a qb. On Blogging the Boys, said the coaches met with Washington St. QB Connor Halliday.

I'll take your word for it. I'm not sure if we even draft a QB to be a backup. Our MO since Garrett has been here has been to have a 30 plus year old vet as second string.

A guy like Mannion or Halliday would challenge Vaughan for 3rd string

Cleveland is certainly a crappy place to play and come into the league, but Weeden did more there than Manziel. Manziel is about the last guy I'd want coming in to back up Romo, I think that guy is a flat out disaster and I certainly wouldn't want to take on the 8 million dollar guaranteed contract he signed with Cleveland.

I strongly doubt a player that cannot even run right now will get drafted. It is not like he was a Mettenberger type prospect to begin with.

Game film will determine if he gets drafted. A broken ankle should be ok by camp.
