Colt McCoy obviously impressived Jerry, we should look into getting him.

Manziel with low compensation and no expectation of stating wouldn't be av terrible trade, and would cement Jerry as a later executive essentially getting martin and manziel. Understudying under Romo would be a very different environment for him here.

just say hell no

Having Manziel would be a terrible distraction for the Cowboys. The media would love it.

I don't see Cleveland just giving away a 1st round pick from last year.

Jerry most likely talking about drafting a qb. On Blogging the Boys, said the coaches met with Washington St. QB Connor Halliday.

I doubt he's talking about drafting a QB when he mentions being better when Romo's not in there. That sounds like an immediate veteran upgrade of the backup QB. Not another developmental QB on the roster.

OMG, Browns aren't giving Manziel away.

McCoy is garbage and no amount of Longhorn fanboyism can change that

no thanks to Colt Mccoy, that guy has too many concussions.

thought he had a pretty serious neck injury also that was possibly career threatening or something.....?
Pending he passes a physical, McCoy would be a clear upgrade over Weeden.
Ideally, I prefer Shaun Hill backing up Romo. Looking at that list of QB FA's....wow, I think McCoy would be my second choice after Hill...that is one horrible list.

McCoy completed 20-of-30 for 300 yds with a 10.0 YPA against Dallas last season. Hot garbage?

No off-field issues and not a dummy. Big-school/big-stage college background. Still young. I'd be surprised if Washington doesn't ink him as reasonable insurance on the twin headaches of RGIII and Cousins. But he could learn a bunch behind Romo.

Just saying.

Against the Cowboys Jekyll and Hyde Defense. He couldn't keep the starting job and got replaced by an even worse RGOuchMyKnee

Colt McCoy wouldn't be too bad but he had concussion issues.

The two I would go after are Austin Davis and Brian Hoyer. Both of them probably did the best they could with very little talent around them.

I think the QB position may well be an area of consideration but not until the later rounds of the draft. Vet free agency at the backup QB spot would demand a financial investment that I don't believe would be realistic to expect this year. Simply put, there are just too many FAs in house to resign. I think we'll skate by with Weeden throughout the upcoming season and attend to a backup QB change in 2016.

I think they're ALWAYS looking to upgrade the backup QB situation in Dallas. Think of how many different backups Romo has had over the years.

With that being said, I don't think they're going to force a change, and I don't think they'll waste resources making a change. Wouldn't be surprised at all if our depth chart at QB looks exactly the same as it did last year.

No compensation and willing to work for free wouldn't convince me to let him within 1000 miles of our team.

Big Dog, did you just pick that number arbitrarily?, Or was it because Cleveland is 1,182.3 miles from Dallas. Not bad.........

As for Weeden and freshening up his resume......not enough Febreze for that task. :muttley:
