I haven't either. I sat there watching that yesterday thinking...Dang. Gruden simply has no time or patience for this stuff with RG3.

I was thinking Gruden isn't for long in Washington. Even though he's 100% right about his fraud QB, the owner probably isn't going to tolerate his coach ripping his investment to the media.

His comments were based on RGIII throwing others under the bus. Gruden made it clear that it is not RGIII role it is Gruden role to deal with players and how they play. RGIII brought this on himself and based on reaction from players Gruden stepping in was not a bad thing.

Peter King said on the Terd this morning that in Washington the house is on fire. Enjoy it boys! I know I am!

There is no insurance for this. RG3 will be a total loss!

There's a lot of evidence suggesting that Snyder is an "RGIII guy" and likely doesn't care for his coach publicly criticizing him so harshly.

There's a story that the Commanders need to make a decision on May 3, 2015 whether or not to exercise an option on Griffin for 2016 at the cost of $18.4 million. What they decide to do at that point will determine the franchise's direction for the future.

Maybe so but I don't think Snyder cares for losing either. Cousin was pulled because of turnovers and RGIII coming in turning the ball over and getting their tails kicked by Tampa Bay can't be sitting to well with Snyder. Then having your QB stand up and putting blame on others not a good thing for a QB who played like crap. Had RGIII kept his mouth shut or shouldered some of the blame I don't think Gruden would have said anything that critical of RGIII but there are 52 other men in that locker room and I think Gruden sent them a message he was in charge not RGIII

Your opinion on the motive is probably spot on, but I don't see where Gruden has built up any sort of credibility since he's been there either.

After all, he's the guy presiding over this 3-7 sinking ship...

He's trying to build some credibility. He aligned himself with 52 of the 53 guys on the roster.

Yes and in his 1st season and took over a sinking ship that was 3-13 last season. If anything Shannahan views of RGIII is proving to be correct and while Synder may like RGIII I think he will see what others have seen. As for Gruden credibility, he comments were a good 1st step in letting players know RGIII is not running anything, he has a job to do just as the rest of the players and if RGIII is going to call people out then he better get ready to be called out for his own crappy play. I think players need to know RGIII is not special and is not in charge.

But that's tough to do at 3-7 and showing like he's brought nothing to the table.

He did not bring that to the table the table was set with a 3-13 season last year. Commanders have a lot of problems that need to be addressed but one problem they do not need is an over rated QB running his mouth against other players.

Hey, I'm not defending Griffin, but I'm also not about to praise Gruden. I'm not seeing any contributions from him that would justify his hire in the first place.

Again, I think the motives you're stating are sound, but coming from a guy like Gruden who just got here and is presiding over 3-7, I don't see where they're carry much credibility or weight.

Not praising Gruden but I will say a HC has to be able to stand up to players if he can't then you have a real mess on your hands. What Gruden may or may not accomplish is anyone guess but hard to blame him for the mess he has walked into. I think he will need to work with Bruce Allen to do some house cleaning if they want to get things turned around.

yes he just got there and is HC if he does not stand up right now it becomes too late. yes 3-7 and yes this team was a mess before he hired in and it will not be turned around over night. If Synder is willing to put RGIII above his coaches then good luck finding a HC who will walk in having to kiss RGIII butt, they will not do it. RGIII is a player not a coach his comments were way out of line and any decent HC would have called him out just as well

I'm not sure how much of an opportunity Bruce Allen gets going forward. He's presided over a great deal of this "mess" already.

Considering how Snyder has operated in the past, I could see everybody getting the boot and big money extended to the next big-name candidate.

I think that a more experienced coach would have handled it a bit differently and not be so clear-cut and scathing in their criticisms. It's one thing to set him straight in-house and quite another to do it in public.

I think Gruden has more to learn about the art of public speaking.
