I'd have already bet money on Lendale White of USC if he is there, and Lawrence Maroney of Minnesota if he isn't.

Yep. That's what they're saying -- but we won't really Know until he puts On the cap (headgear, not the money).

Uncertain what positions the Cowboys are looking to solidify, but I sure hope the Eagles are looking to establish a strong running game this year. That West Coast passing business can really place a team into a 1 dimensional configuration.

Why is that?
Some scouting reports list him as a better receiver out of the backfield and better at blitz pickup.

I don't think you go wrong with either guy.

Drafthype.com is also sayIng that Ramsey is Not going to be with the Skins. I wonder where he'll end Up? I think he's a possible with the Eagles also ...he won't land a starting job anywhere in the NCFE, and could learn Much from McNabb. I'd take him over McMahon or Detmer anyday!

White ran behind a monster line and he wasn't the biggest threat on his team. A lot of #2 backs look great behind a star. Maroney is from what I can tell more elusive, has that breakwaway speed and more prepared to be a feature back in the league.

Would White be a good fit for Philly's WC offense? I'd bet on Maroney as well.

I'm not sure how Philly will work it. They signed Westbrook to an extension and have a lot of money invested in him. Now they could want more of a bruiser type back to compliment Westbrook or someone they can use like Westbrook.

As a Commander fan, I can say there's a 90% or greater chance Ramsey won't be here next year.

In retrospect, I wish he'd been able to play towards the end of this season when Brunell was hurt an ineffective.

Looks like Gibbs is going to keep Brunell (whos solid when healthy), and Campbell (who spent all of last year running the scout offense and learning the NFL game).

If he picks his game up to the NFL level of speed, we could use those skills to protect McNabb, and if he doesn't develop alligator arms syndrome (like Pinkston), he'd also be an otional pair of hands for Westbrook's efforts.

You guys seem to have your receiver corp established very well. No doubt, with Terry Glenn, KeShawn Johnson, and Jason Witten, you'll probably be looking for something other than receivers. Strictly from an offensive perspective ...

WR/TE ...established

RB [Julius Jones and Barber] ...established

QB Bledsoe ...established; uncertain about depth (I'm sure you know more about it)

OL Tweaking?

Your draft picks will tell the story -- can't wait!

I'm kind of surprised...Westbrook is a Pro Bowl receiving threat when healthy and Moats showed promise towards the end of the season.

If I was Philly I'd want to bolster my offensive and defensive lines first.

That's interesting, because we already have a breakaway back in Westbrook, and Moats. We actually need someone like Maroney as a Redzone/move the chains type back.

Sure sounds like Maroney is our man -- but Eagles GM may see it differently.

DeAngelo Williams is more deserving of the 14th pick than Maroney. Williams is the total package. Maroney doesn't have enough feel in the passing game to play for Reid. I wouldn't be surprised to see Maroney fall to the 2nd round.

Didn't think about the ...J - E - T - S, Jets, Jets, Jets! Did some min-scouting on them ...

Here's their QB situation

Chad Pennington ...6-years experience

Jay Fiedler ...10-years experience

Brooks Bolinger ...3-years experience

Kliff Kinsbury ...1-year experince

Vinny TestaVerde ...plans to announce his retirement this Spring.

Ramsey could fit; but the JETS would probably drop Fiedler/Brooks. I'm guessing.

He's a rookie, he'd learn to fit better than a FA back that's probably used to a run strategy. I believe the Eagles have learned a valuaBle lesson from the rigid WC offense. If we continue to use it, it will be modified to include a run strategy component. That said, White could fit, but listening to many of the other posters here, I'm starting to get the impression that Maroney is an even better fit!

I wish I got paid to make the big dollar decisions -- I'd probably take White, and acquire a big FA back if Cap money allowed (believe it does).

I agree, DeAngelo is a very good back, but do you think he will be there at 14 ? I know RB's have a tendency to drop on draft day, but I don't see that happening with him.
