Dak needs to put up this next season to show that he's not a one hit wonder. We've seen the same story too many times.

I'm expecting to exceed last season ... but the regular season record may not reflect. 10-6 is reasonable.

There's no doubt in my mind. He's top 5 in the league right now. Period.

So while Dak had a good year I have to tap the breaks and think 5th best in the league is way to high. Right now. I thought SAS was banned from here. My personal top ten...
Brady
Rodgers
Wilson
Brees
Luck
Ryan
Cam
Eli
Rothelsberger
Cousins

My next five
Rivers
Winston
Carr
Mariota
Dak

The respectable club no certain order
Stafford
Dalton
Flacco
Bradford
Palmer
Tannehill
Smith
Cutler
Taylor

Is this a current list or based on career overall? Because Eli hasn't been more than a marginal QB for a few seasons now. Rivers has been better. I'd put Carr over both. Cousins belongs below Carr and Rivers, too.

Just my personal list for the current and the past. Carr has had two decent years but cousins last two years have been better statistically speaking. For me I'd take cousins over rivers. Rivers puts up awesome numbers with little to no supporting cast but his teams have always been mediocre. Eli is Eli, with a great supporting cast he excels, when he doesn't have help he looks average. He does those rings and seems to always play at his best in big games. I can't ignore that.

My ranking (as of right now) ...

Eli
Dak
Cousins
Wentz
COnsidering how much you called dak a noodle arm this season, im not surprised. At this point though, thats a really hard list to argue with. Eli is proven, Dak only has one season under his belt. If he puts up numbers like he did last season this coming season, that hierarchy may change.

Really...well everyone has there opinion. Give luck a legit running game, an OL, a HoF TE, a true number 1 WR, and then get back to me.
Luck has been throwing interceptions at a record pace since he came into the league. Dak threw 4 last season. And set a new record for interceptions to start a career. Luck is the most overrated QB in the NFL. I love when people try to take away from what Dak did last season due to what he has on offense. How about what he did at Mississippi state with the worst OL, and no one on offense? Does that not count?

Nope college does not factor. Luck holds no record for int to start a career and I didn't take anything away from Daks year. No way he can surpass anyone on that list after one good year. Have another one and he may very well crack the top ten.

You got a taller Tim Tebow in Phili.

The 2 time miracle boy in New York.

Kirk Cousins & Dak Prescott are easily the top 2 and it isn't close.
Eagles fans always over value their players....just because he was drafted #2 don't make him a "can't miss" QB......don't be shocked to see Foles starting at some point this season. With Mongo being the elder statesman of the NFCE Wentz may take his place as the divisions interception machine. There are many flaws in his game.
I agree with Cousins being the 2nd best QB in the division.

I think it depends on what your criterion is for making the ranking. It is really pretty subjective so its all opinion.

If you want to go based on last season alone, then Dak is top half of the league and there shouldn't be too many to disagree with that statement. If you go based on wins, he could be a little bit higher up. If you judge him on protecting the football, then he is top 5. If you go by splash plays, he will have a lot less of those.

For a rookie, he had the best year, probably ever. That says enough by itsself.

If you judge him based on a body of work, then he gets an incomplete. He may break all of Tom Brady's records, or be a one year flash in the pan. No one really knows for sure.

If you were asking me who I would rather have than him, at this point in their careers, you have to consider his longevity..If you put him against Tom Brady, Brady would more likely than not outperform Dak over the next year or two, but Brady won't be in the league in 10 years and Dak might still be going strong.

Based on potential, current performance and future longevity, if you were building a new NFL franchise he might be the #1 QB overall you would want to start your franchise with.
