Based on last year, sure.................but he needs to prove that he is not a one hit wonder before I say he is top 5 in the league. That is like saying he is of the same caliber as Brady, Rogers, Brees, ect....

It's not really "hate". He dogged him real bad heading into last year's draft and then heavily criticized the FO for drafting him, essentially guaranteeing that Dak would be trash. Then when Dak turned out like he did, he just made this whole thing part of his schtick or whatever.

The Cowboys chose not to go after a legit franchise prospect and instead take a waste of space in round 4. Not only is the pick bad but the time that will be wasted on a player who will never be the pocket passer you need is the worst aspect of it.

How do you rank Prescott/Wentz together?

You're basing this judgement solely on draft status alone. Wentz had a very poor rookie season, anyone who watched him without blinders on would agree. He didn't have an awesome supporting cast but he made a ton of mistakes in a QB friendly offenses and had a tendency to repeat the same mistakes over again. As of right now, Dak is way ahead...could Wentz recover? Sure. But we are judging based off of last season and while Dak may be about 15th(which I don't agree but I see the logic)...Wentz is bottom 5.

If anything, Cousins should be ranked ahead of both of them. I'm no fan but he has two solid seasons under his belt. I would guess he has probably put together the two best back to back seasons for the Skins in about two decades and that's sad. He should definitely be ranked way ahead of Wentz.

Like to see how he does his second year. We know what we're getting in Eli and Kirk. We still don't know for sure in Dak and Carson. Wentz can play like Peyton this year for all we know. And we still don't know what we're getting in our O-line so Dak might not have such an easy time this year. We'll see.

We are getting 3 All Pros in their prime plus another young player with that kind of potential. RT is a question mark but it's a weakness we could gameplan around if necessary.

I don't know if I could put him ahead of a guy with 2 rings (YET) regardless of how lucky he was to get them, HOWEVER, if all 4 were free agents tomorrow, Dak would have the most suitors and get the biggest contract.

It's hard for me to say because I don't think he's been as tested as most qb's, especially every other qb in the NFCE. He is surrounded by all star talent from the O line to the receivers, JW and Zeke. I don't think he would have had near the success with any other offense in the NFCE. He does look promising but I can't say he's the best at this point.

Wondering how you came up with that conclusion? If we're looking at what he did in his only year in the NFL, he's nowhere near the middle of the pack. If we're looking at potential, he's nowhere near the middle of the pack.

Yup...and been that way since he was drafted. I get the feeling that the same thing is happening/will happen with Wentz. Sometimes people get drunk over the measurable/projections and they'll find every excuse in the book for why they are not living up to the hype.

Might be. We'll know more this time next year how he stacks up. I still like him over Wentz but I have to say I like Wentz's potential. Not comparing him to anyone. I just like the player. Too bad he plays for the Eagles. Makes it harder for me to be unbiased.

Wonder how much longer Eli will play??

BTW, I'm going to have to wait for awhile to finish that series with the Eagle's.
