Since 1940, there have been 744 games where a team has scored 28 points or more in the first half. That team has gone on to win 715 (96.1%)

Since 2000, there have been 201 games where a team has scored 28 points or more in the first half. That team has gone on to win 194 (96.5%)

Only one other team has ended up losing by more than 10 points - Cincy 31 vs Buffalo 49 in 2010

Well good. Now we can put that in the trophy case right next to Weeds record of 20 straight completions!

Since 1970, there's been 259 times where a team has rushed for 125 yards and 4 TDs. They've won 248 times (95.7%). Dallas did it yesterday and lost.

So are we going to act like there wasn't a reason for the lost yesterday?

Most people will blame Weeden, Terrence Williams, Jason Witten for a false start, failure to resign a stud like Gardner, you name it---anything but who should bear the true responsibility.

Can someone tell me how that fact should be considered to be "fun" sitting in the shadow of yesterday?

Rhetorical question, by the way.

LOL.....I mean we were undermanned. People are jumping off a cliff like we should win despite not having probably 6 of our best 10 players on the field.

This is a great, yet telling stat. Can you tell me where you got it from? Not doubting you at all but just curious.

Nobody expected a win. But if you have a 14 point lead, more than once, it is not too outlandish to be disappointed.

I'm going to go a step further for those people that claim we're outmanned or missing folks with injuries. While I think that's true and hard to deny, especially when you're missing your franchise QB, let's take a look at who we had that hasn't lived up to their billing.

We used a 2nd, a 2nd and 3rd on Lawrence, Escobar and Williams, respectively. I'm sorry, but they've been MIA. We used two picks on Claiborne and he's been underwhelming thus far. He's been better this year but far from a playmaker you'd expect with a top 10 pick. Look at 2011 with Carter in round 2 and he's no longer here.

And where's Byron Jones? I understand I'm being a little overly critical here. The kid is young. But we've seen something from Gregory that gives us hope he can be a special player. Have we seen that from Byron?
In any event, start looking a little deeper where we should have some depth from the 4th round on and you get the picture of what I'm trying to say. It's bad enough that we've got injuries. But the folks we drafted to make a basic impact on our team and are still here have been anything but. I'm not so sure we've done all that good a job drafting the past few years and I think we're starting to see that as well.

I think it was brought up to make us feel like crap lol.

Well, we should. It was a pretty significant screw up by the entire team. Not just Weeden or whomever people choose to blame. It just goes to show you how inept you have to be to blow that kind of lead. We almost had to go out our own way to blow it.
