When he was working in the scouting and personnel department under Jimmy Johnson?

I believe, but correct me if I'm wrong, that the period when Jimmy was coach and in control of player personnel, was refered to as "The Jimmy Johnson Era".

Being in control like any position of control consist of people working under you doing the leg work. Hell we all work I assume does you boss use the work you do? He may take credit for it at the end of the day but he did not do that work others did.
