Funny Quote from Larry Lacewell

I think Larry has buddy status with Jerry. If you are the owner you can do anything you want. Jerry wants to give Larry access to the Cowboys. What can you say???

jerry has never listened to reason before

why should he start now?

When he was working in the scouting and personnel department under Jimmy Johnson?

I believe, but correct me if I'm wrong, that the period when Jimmy was coach and in control of player personnel, was refered to as "The Jimmy Johnson Era".

Being in control like any position of control consist of people working under you doing the leg work. Hell we all work I assume does you boss use the work you do? He may take credit for it at the end of the day but he did not do that work others did.

Jimmy Johnson and Lacewell go all the way back to 1970 and Oklahoma, where they were arguing whether to implement JJ's notion of "upfield pressure".
This is a pressure based 1 gap defensive system that later became known as the Miami 4-3.

Look at video of Nebraska - Oklahoma, 1971. You'll see Oklahoma in a 4-3..
