So with the line in the sand drawn over parsons contract. Should we expect the same to happen with Tyler Smith and George Pickens if they choose to do so since both are represented by athletes first group and Mr Mulugheta?

I think their agents will be ready for it, but the players who really want to stay in Dallas will likely push their agents to give in a little more so the drama situation with Parsons doesn't happen to them.

It will really come down to the players deciding early on if they are okay leaving the Cowboys.

Turns out that Micah would have had close to the same $$ without that fool Moogalichia as his agent and he would have had a home to call his own, now no ROH and no nothing, no Jones family for future business endeavors. Try getting business advice in GB, yeah ok…

Pickens will be a free agent.

The Cowboys issue with Parsons seemed to be about more than just the money.
- Jerry referenced the Dez contract and ""when we had trouble with the player".

If anything, this works in Dallas’ favor in future negotiations. the fact that Micah and Mulugheta came back and tried to work a deal once their trade bluff had been called shows they really didn’t think the trade would happen

Now— The agent knows if he plays the trade card— JJ has proven he will ship a premium player away.

It’s pretty clear Parsons wanted to stay in Big D and was trying to force JJ into a deal.

Now— players that actually want to stay in Big D will be really careful before playing the “trade me” card— because they just might get what they are asking for lol

My guess is JJ and Mulugheta talk thru things so this outcome is avoided in the future. This wasn’t ideal for the player or the team

David Mulugheta is not the only agent at Arhletes First.

From an article a few months ago:

Smith has new representation, it was announced Monday. The two-time Pro Bowler will now be working with Athletes First. Per Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, the agency's Joe Panos and Todd France will take Smith on as a client.

Athletes First already represents several of the highest-profile Cowboys, including quarterback Dak Prescott, edge rusher Micah Parsons, kicker Brandon Aubrey, and newly-acquired wide receiver George Pickens.

There are car dealerships to own and public welfare scandals to make as side businesses in GB.

If they really want to stay in Dallas it may give them some pause seeing a trade is a legit possibility. If they don't care either way and only want to get paid then it's business as usual.

I wonder what the plan would have been if MP had agreed to just play on the last year of his contract.

I really believe this was about the Dak contract. Jerry got taken to the cleaners on that last contract. Dak is still the highest paid player in the league even with Alllen signing an extension. Love Parsons but paying him franchise quarterback money is not smart. CeeDee was a wash and was paid what he deserved. As long as Tyler/Bland don’t ask for anything crazy they will be Cowboys. Pickens is tricky. Have to see how he plays with the Cowboys this season. I am concerned the only extension that was signed this offseason, was a player that is easily replaceable, Ferguson. The Cowboys have a long way to go to get rid of the cave man nickname.

Players play for money and the chance to win a Super Bowl. There is no upside to playing in Dallas compared to other places. Look how much it took to keep Dak Prescott from leaving. Agents are not going to lighten up on Jerry.

Fans need to get over the corny attitude that somehow their favorite team is the guys on the roster favorite team. They’re professionals. They play for money.

I agree with this premise but the agency still made several million more dollars by playing it this way. They’ll continue to put profit first. It’s up to the player to mediate and make sure the agency is working for them, not the other way around.
