@Idgit is too young to remember this stupid but entertaining song. When was that....66 or 67?

Marty Robins sang Ahab the Arab in 1962, the third year that the Cowboys were in existence...and it was a bit tough to dance to back then.

About the time that the Minutemen were springing up and around a dangerous night scene in Dallas...when it really wasn't safe for a woman to be out and alone on the streets of the city.

Yea, the 'stone henge' periods that included a former Governor of the State of Alabama defying Federal Law.

Push the Beta out now.

I listened to Freddy Fender in a NCO club in Kissingen, and John Denver in Indianapolis prior to the Indy 500...while in service. Oh, and I can't forget George Bush coming to see us off...The two best fireworks shows were in downtown Indianapolis and Thunder over Louisville on the 4th of July. Corpus Christi puts up a respectable display from the Battleship Lexington when seen from the Portland Bridge...but not the same level of class.

And for Casmith07, I would be remiss to add that JAG (the Judge Advocate Corp) punishes abuses of law in the Military. Despite the supposed all pervasive influence of an administrative nature, and reflected in authority of Command.

I saw a great fireworks show supplied by firebase Bearcat along with a pair of lochs and cobras stirring up the dust once when I was in country. Also watched from the balcony of a hotel near, but not in Vung Tau, the Green Beret and Korean Roc applied ordinance on Charlie which looked like a fireworks display.

That was the first time I ever drank a bloody Mary.

But if TwoDeep is still confused, power generators produced in the earlier 1900's generated over 20,000 volts...about double the power of today's police tasers used. And they were hand cranked then. and designed for 'medical' purposes.

Good share, my friend...M60's then still dialed in a target from the Gunner's position. And Shillelagh fired from a Sheridan Tank. (uh, launched)

The carriers of mortars had to be reinforced due to penetration through the outside and detination of ammo aboard...lol.

lochs:

...and the dialing system was accessed from the TC's position...on the M60, early non-sight ranging systems.

Two Deep...or after driving through a village, and when settling into a house to house, Chú/Bác, a senior Vietnamese male, approaches and examines your skin/hair differences. Then using a basic superstitious beginning for a sense of a conscience motivated action, pronounces the phrase:
han duché...meaning he was trying to cleanse himself by passing 'evil' spirits into you.

Sorry guys, my simple thought patterns were around back when they played Country Western on 75, like Mary Robbins: Cool Water.
"Oh Dan can you see that big green tree where the waters running free....." great song.....love Marty and Felina.....

Thanks for the notes Fuzzy. I disagree about Dixon, though. I think he is far and away better than Heath and even think his coverage ability was very good for a rookie seeing his first NFL action against Phillip Rivers.

I think he's a shoe in for the 53. I think Heath or Hamilton hit the street.

Thanks for a great share...and one might say that my birth in 1949 was ushered in by Roy Acuff in Nashville.

Phillip Rivers is immensely under appreciated. He took an overloaded blitz on his right side and delivered a large gain to Danny Woodhead. That Dixon was able to make sense out of chaos shows an ability to pick out and identify while in movement. That part is not a trainable asset...and he is good there. If he can position to pop, then he can position to defend.
