FWST: Blog: Did Tearrius George just make the team?

I dont know, he probably wont clear waivers. Almost every team wants pass rushers, and he clearly has ability to get at the QB even from a down RDE spot...he'll get claimed by somebody

I was pretty impressed with him, not saying he'll ever start but I'd rather dump mediocre guys like Rogers and Walden instead of George

was also impressed with Tyson Smith, he is another one who will not clear waivers. Not sure we have a spot for him because we seem set with the 4 ILB's, but hopefully if he isnt going to be on our team we at least get a lae rd pick for the guy.

David

I actually laughed out loud watching the game that the 1st interception of the pre season came from Tyson Smith, and the 1st sack, that I remember anyway, came from George. I would have bet Ware and Henry or Jones would have had the 1st.

Well, he can certainly turn the corner against crappy LT's. He would have destroyed Doug Free.

I think Jacob Rogers somehow suited up and posed as Doug Free. That has to be it.

That was an incredible performance and I don't think it was all against one tackle. He was bull rushing, doing spin moves and turning the corner exactly like you're supposed to. And he was using his hands and arms well.

What else do you want. At the very least he should make someone's team even if not here.

I don't see how you can cut the guy right now. That was so tantalizing it would be very difficult to not see how he does against starting quality OL.

I could be wrong but dang. And we've heard tidbits about him and Smith before last nite. Smith looked a lot better than Carpenter did and I've never been hard on Carp.

Jobber, George was overshadowed at the beginning of camp because he was out with bruised knee. The kid showed me he has a motor...he never gives up on a play.

Smith, I concur.

George is better than any Cowboys' backup OLB not named Anthony Spencer.

But I'd rather sign Indy's Curtis Johnson (6'3 240 4.6, mean streak) or Philly's Andy Studebaker (6'4 255 4.5) to the 53 instead of George (or Rogers or Walden).

Did Indy cut Curtis Johnson?

I loved that kid in the Draft.

Not yet, but I am hoping they keep Marcus Howard over him. And I liked him too. Curtis is similar in size to Walden, but he just plays angrier.

Need players like that.
