The Cowboys might have another receiver back at practice this week. Sam Hurd, who is nursing a sprained ankle, said he could return to practice by the end of the week. Hurd isn't likely to be ready to play by Monday night's game against the Eagles. Returning for the Green Bay game, however, looks more possible.

Hurd missed the season opener last week after suffering the injury in the preseason finale against the Vikings.

More good news.

I'm just hopeful that the Cowboys will have both Austin adn Spencer back for Monday Night!

Look at the metamorphosis. Before the season you thought nothing of Hurd and Austin and now you are looking at their returns as good news. Thanks for drinking the Kool Aid. ;)

Hurd probably can't stand it seeing Austin getting his 3rd team reps.

Real good news for both of them. Looking for a good season and alot of contribution from them. I have always confessed that we did not really need to spend money on another WR. We have talent on the team that just need reps.

Exactly... And maybe Stanback not looking bad the other night, too.

I'd be quite happy if Austin makes it back for MNF and then get Spencer and Hurd back for Greenbay. Although I'd love to see Spencer in there Monday night it just doesn't sound too promising at this point.

It doesn't look promising for Spencer, but Austin will add the deep threat that was missing Monday night, not that it was needed, but my favorite play is the two wideouts crossing in the middle. It always gets a guy on single coverage.

The way to beat Philly is to score first and often, taking away their running game. McNabb panics, and starts throwing ints, and once he even threw up.

Yeah, and 'Jacksonville's #1 receiver' had 6 catches for 80 yards Sundau!

:nana:

The encouraging thing about all this is: injured players are wanting to come back and contribute, not hanging around the jacuzzi. Granted, it's better not to come back too soon, but I think it speaks well of the 'Boys' chances that the players all seem to want to be a part of what could be a very special campaign.
