Julius Jones' status

Cowboys running back Julius Jones, who is an unrestricted free agent, is not expected to return to the team next season. His agent, Ken Kremer said Jones wants to become a featured back and said his client will field some ``very strong offers'' in free agency from other teams.

The Cowboys have made it clear they are headed into next season with Marion Barber as the starter. Barber made his first start of the season in the playoff loss to the New York Giants.

Also, nose tackle Jason Ferguson expects to be fully recovered from his torn biceps in time for the start of training camp in late July. Ferguson was injured in the season opener. His agent, Jimmy Sexton, said ``he'll be back and ready to go.''

Apparently Mr. Kremer believes there is a bull market for pile-magnets.

Also, he thinks that there is no recession in America and believes in the tooth fairy.

Is that like "bad" is good?

Dang people. Seriously. I wouldn't be the least bit suprised he started somewhere and he will be on an NFL team next year.

He was a good back for us for a few years, I wish him luck.

Glad to see Fergie is prepping for next year. I know many CZ members want to see him cut or traded, but I think a healthy Fergie would be excellent in the DL rotation.

Agents usually don't last long in their profession when they openly go to the public and say "Dude, my client sucks. Nobody wants him." No matter how true it is.

If we do trade Spears (I still doubt this) I would move Ratliff to LDE and use Fergy and Tank as the NT rotation.

I could live with this. Definitely want Fergy's attitude back in the locker room.

just joking....

I'm sure he'll be on a team next year. Wish him all the best, but don't see the "strong offers" being in his future.

Its a definete upgrade.

Lets be honest. Ratliff is better than Spears.

At DE? I dunno. But Ratliff is a impact player and a future Pro Bowler if he keeps it up.

Nah, its cool. I just don't like the bashing of players that haven't done anything wrong to the team.

I really have no ill feelings at all towards julius. He is a good person and a hard worker. He just has struggled here.

I feel for the guy, he comes out of the locker room to stretch every week and he gets booed, in his own stadium...barber comes out a few minutes later and people are tripping over themselves to call his name, get his picture and cheer.

I cant imagine how difficult that is, and through it all he was still giving his full effort on the field and remained a class individual on the sideline and on the practice field.

I wish him well. Who knows, maybe him and flo will end up in Denver together next year.

I still remember how the entire forum was convinced that Stephen Jackson would be a Cowboy when he was available.

Ouch.
