Schrager's ultimate NFL mock draft

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...-barkley-chiefs-jaguars-raiders-eagles-042213

11. TRADE: Dallas Cowboys (via San Diego): Jonathan Cooper, G/C, North Carolina
For the second straight year, Jerry Jones moves up in the first round to get his man. Dallas swaps their first overall pick (18th) and gives San Diego their fourth-rounder (114th overall) and a future third to move up seven spots and grab Cooper. Last year, Dallas moved up to get cornerback Morris Claiborne. This time, they go offense. Tony Romo got a big pay day earlier this month. Now, the Cowboys need to invest in protecting him. He had a big statistical year in 2012 despite playing behind a terrible offensive line. Tackle Doug Free hasn’t been the player the Cowboys thought he’d be and fellow tackle Tyron Smith seemed to be called for a false start on every other play from scrimmage this season. Injuries stung, but there needs to be more good, young linemen protecting Romo. Cooper could be a great addition to the line. The 6-foot-2, 310-pound road paver pumped out 35 repetitions of 225 pounds in the bench press and impressed in interviews at the Combine.

That is too much.

I honestly believe if we trade up it'll be with the Saints to jump the Rams for Kenny Vaccaro... Would the trade look something like the Cowboys trade the Saints pick #18 & #80 for the Saints #15 & #109? By all accounts, the Cowboys love Vaccaro & the guards might both be gone by pick 12, so he is the only guy I could see them going up to get.

I could see them trading up two or three spots to get a guard or several spots to get a guy like Johnson or Star or Sharif.

Trade up and give away valuable picks for a 4th reciever behind Dez, Witten, and Miles? And 5-8 at that. No thanxs.

A 4th WR? I'm not saying I'm in favor of moving up but Tavon Austin would be FAR more
than a 4th WR for us. He'd be our #3guys first of all, our KR and PR and perhaps 3rd down back. His presence on the field would also loosen coverage on Dez and Miles.

If we move up to get Tavon I get won't be upset as he is a dynamic play maker that most teams covet. And I could see Garrett, knowing he's on the hot seat, lobbying for this guy so he can.stack the deck offensively.

Smokescreen. But man I would love to move up and snag Lane Johnson. That would set the cornerstones of our online for a decade.

I'd so this trade in a heartbeat if Cooper was there. Top 8-10 player at 12 and only give up a 4th this year. We could get back an extra 3rd next year if Spencer bolts.

This is what I secretly hope for. And I wouldn't be opposed to spend this year's fourth and next year's third in order to do so. If possible.

Hmm, I could see it either being Lane Johnson, Cooper, Star or Shariff. The only guys that make sense.

I'm ok with the rest but not Cooper. I love this guy but I'm not moving up from 18 for a guard unless you're talking to 17 maybe 16.

If they trade up it has to be for a "WoW" player with some flash.
Yea, I wouldn't mind moving up a few spots and grabbing Leroy Jenkins

trade ups, trade ups, trade ups....I hope to God that we don't give away picks to move up...there aren't a lot of guys that I want THAT badly on this team to move more than one or two spots...

I'm afraid this team isn't smart enough to move up and take an impact player like tavon austin.
All of this o-line buzz is all just hype year in and year out...my thoughts are that if you are not
Going up to get a left tackle and we don't need that then you go up and get a guy that changes the dynamics of your offense ....tavon has talent that is rare but if you can't move up simply stay put and go BPA....

I love when people say we will trade down. It sounds great but you have to have a trade partner. There is a possibility we will have to stay at 18 and tak bpa
True

Or if they do want to trade down, it may be for reduced value because so many teams are looking to do the the same.

It all depends on who is there at 18, obviously.

That's why some are saying you can trade up for cheaper than normal this year, so don't rule it out if say Dallas swaps 1st rounders with some team slightly higher but gives up a 3rd and gets a 5th in return.

Yea I was against the move to left for smith but he has so much talent and promise their hope is that he grows into it....still yet time but he played right in college for a reason and now its wait and see for smith.....my issue with offense is how can we be just as competitive offensively in the NFC with all of this option read offense??? My anwser would be a guy like tavon ...somebody will get this kid and show us all how to use him while we still run an offense that is just second tier to others in the NFC...its just not going to be enough to fix the o-line and D-line....this running game has to get great not good and a good start to open it all up is SPEED and talent combined
