It'll help if they get a really good player. I think it's pretty unlikely for a couple reasons you'd likely agree with but if they see a significant difference between what they can get with a tradeup and what is likely to fall to them at 18 AND they don't have to give up too much to move, they'll do it.Zimmy Lives;5057744 said:Sad but true. Sully has a bald head and a big imagination but his column in the Star Magazine is entertaining.
As I have stated before: Dallas needs to hit on their first four picks if they expect to compete for a title. The starters in place are okay but they need a serious influx of talent. Trading up for one player is not going to help and will only delay their development as a team.

I would totally support jumping up several spots to get Johnson and a spot or two for Cooper. Otherwise I agree. I think RT is a deceptively important and difficult spot to fill. And I think our current OGs are really bad, but I'm in good company on that opinion.Zimmy Lives;5057770 said:I hope they decide to stay put and let things fall into place. There is no one good enough to trade up for in this draft that will significantly improve this roster except maybe one of the tackles.

I would also support trading down for future picks, which I think generally is an underrated strategy. I think future picks are generally undervalued. But that could just be me.
Yeah, I'd rather them move down than reach. I expect they won't have to reach for a guy they like at 18. One of their guys will fall. Of course, we can't be sure who those guys are.Zimmy Lives;5057800 said:I think, based on what we are hearing from the analysts, this would be a great draft to move down. I would prefer they stay put but would not be disappointed if they move down if the guys they want are gone.

I'm referring to draft value and not dollars.Rack Bauer;5057846 said:No, they didn't. With the new rookie cap he's not overpaid at all.
