I don't think it is a matter of whether Jerry wants Adam Jones back. It is a question of whether A. Jones can stay out of trouble.

So, if you were setting the odds on Adam Jones staying out of trouble (i.e., avoiding suspension) between now and next training camp, where would you set it?

Wouldn't it have to be about a 50 - 50 proposition (at best)?

40-60 he stays out of trouble. 50-50 is what I gave him when he 1st signed with Dallas.

Despite all the distractions/headaches he has caused this season, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is committed to having Pacman Jones with the team in 2009. Not really surprising considering Jerry welcomed him back after the suspension. Pacman has a four-year contract with the Cowboys that includes no guaranteed money.

If he stays out of trouble and finishes the season strong, the Cowboys might start working him in as a starter in the offseason for Anthony Henry. The bets are that the Cowboys begin to shift Henry to full-time safety at some point. Even Henry expects this at some point.

Here's Jerry when asked Wednesday if he expects Pacman back next year....

"I do. Yes. Yes, I do. He's a good player. He's a hard worker. He's certainly addressing any league issues and you put all that in the thought process and I see him back."

- Rick Herrin

thats not a shock. now hopefully mr. jones shocks us and keeps his name out of the paper.

Let the Jerry gadflies begin their rueing the day.
???

Lets hope PacMan doesn't do any JIVING or create any NOTHING INCIDENTS this summer

(I.e. get drunk & out of hand causing any 911 calls this summer)

not really funny but laugh it up.

Here is another example why Jerry is such a bad GM.

He just wants to be friends & enable these players.

Even if Jerrry WAS set on bringing him in, WHY ADVERTISE THAT publically?

let this guy PROVE HIMSELF ON AND OFF THE FIELD before handing him yet another christmas bonus in July. Let PacMan sweat it out, work, grind THEN get rewarded.

he'll never learn & needs too badly to be the players best friend.

Do you ever not bash Jerry in a post? Your act is really getting old.

It will be interesting to see if he can just stay out of trouble during the offseason, the fact I even got to ask that question is crazy. If he stays out of trouble he can help the team. So we shall see.

I think this will tell alot about Adam Jones, if he does stay out of trouble for the entire off-season with no supervision it will be a great leap forward and the team SHOULD welcome him back.

Pacman will likely take the decision out of Jerry Jones' hands.

Jerry's "act is really getting old".

I know some of you think he's GM of the year for the last 20 years - ROTFLMAO - but whatever.

you need to consider the fact that any "bashing" is a direct result of Jerry himself!

I mean if he doesn't lash out and publically question Barber (after the Pitt loss), no "critic" could fault Jerry for putting his foot, ankle, knee & torso in his mouth ;)

He lashed out at Barber? Bit of an exaggeration, ESPN could use people like you. :lmao:

Especially as a producer/audio guy...

And yes, IMO see Roy38 gone this offseason, we have too many young players (Ball, Watkins, Brown & Battle) back there to play FS along with Henry, plus we got the draft. Add to the fact that cutting Roy would cut his contract out for the following year, allowing some of his salary and bonuses to be given to Ware.

I think if Roy38 goes Dallas will look outside of the current group of safeties be it in the draft of FA. As for Pacman I do disagree with Jerry on bringing him back, I don't think me disagreeing with Jerry makes him a bad GM I just see it different than he does. All in all I think Jerry has this franchise in good shape right now.

Good. I'm looking forward to watching him as a Cowboy. Good decision again, Jerry! Best GM/Owner in the NFL. Undisputable.

I agree with the pro Pacman people here, he is cheap and if he screws up Goodell will have to decide on his future, with no cost to us. Pacman must realize that this is his last chance and perform without any troubles off the field.

I dont think that Roy is irreplaceable, simply because of the effectiveness of our defense now without him in the lineup and Keith Davis lining up at safety. I assume Campo can coach one of our current group or a draft pick up to play FS or SS depending on if we move Hamlin to SS or not.
