I'm still not too far gone to make excuses, so I'll point out one play was shut down by the D but he snuck in for 3 yards, one play had a bobbled snap, the other he just looked blech. Still not allowed to get a series of carries. It's gotta be playbook or protection deficiencies. Not even our coaches are that intractable.

Some of us had our heads screwed on right and predicted as much. He might not even have 3 carries if Randle doesn't get hurt.

And some of us heard the rb coach say they were going to take the reins off

Yeah and he looked pathetic in all three, Yet McFadden is running and got robbed on that TD getting called back.

I wouldn't say he looked pathetic. He looks like he is chasing it a little too hard. He's taking the hand off at 100 mph and not having time to cut or react. You can't do that in a zone blocking scheme. You won't get yards. You have to wait for holes to develop. If he always has been like this, it's likely why Seattle let him go. Patience can be a very tough thing to teach a running back at this stage in their careers. I would, however, love to see that explosion on screen, draws and on the goal line though.

And then some of you bought into hype and thought he would start or even get a majority of the carries. Taking the reins off a guy who had only had 2 carries this season, doesn't amount to much, if you think about it.

Then again, McFadden has looked pretty good. That probably has more to do with Michael's lack of carries than anything else. Oh, and they top notch blitz pickup.

Explain to me why you have such a boner for Michael. He has one positive play since he has been here. Meanwhile McFadden has run hard, moved the pile and is over 5 ypc. Yet you poo poo his efforts. Obvious you have pet cats and you get pissed when Dallas doesn't use them.

Michael had ran hard. Problem is when he is on the field defense knows he is getting the ball and stacks the line. How about running him out of 3 or 4 wide, delays, draws, misdirections. Give him a chance to produce

Have to credit Cassel just a bit to. he's shown he will and can throw down field. That has opened up some running game.

McFadden really produced well but all our running backs did decent. Even running with Lucky went for great gains. I would let McFadden be the work horse and bring Michael in for 10 or so carries to keep McFadden fresh.
