I understand but I'd consider Murrays year last year the perfect storm from the line talent and the way the team played. He's always run hard he just stayed healthy and my point including him with Emmitt was players like these guys don't need coaches putting pressure on them the desire burns deep inside. That's always been apparent with Murray

That's fair, CS88. But would Murray have played with that broken hand last year if he thought iyt would have no effect on his payday? I don't think he does. Now, in all fairness, I don't KNOW that but he's sat with less, for what it's worth.

I'll be shocked if he averages 4 ypc if he gets a decent amount of carries.

Don't we as fans want both C-Mike and Randle to have success? I would be happy if either or both become dominant players.

They seem to have a lot of similarities. Neither seems to be the brightest bulb in the box and both have some questions about their mental makeup. Neither seems to be a really bad guy but both seem to be a little flaky.

Randle is 23 and C-Mike is 24 so it's possible that they can grow up and get past those issues. They both have a great opportunity.

Just give Cmike DMC's carries & I'm good.

I DO laugh at our RBBC.

It was widely reported enough that it was the ONLY thing that I distinctly remember from the trade. My very first thoughts were "Great, we grabbed another one just as dumb as Randle".

The position IS a joke. The fact that ANYONE would hinge their hopes on the turnaround predicated on a dumbell like Michael only illustrates the point, bk.

I'm a Cowboys fan. I want ANY player in our uni to succeed. My point in this whole thread is that i don't buy into Michael at all. Trying to turn it into ANYTHING else (which several have tried) is intellectually dishonest.

You're a good poster, bk, and this has already gone beyond any type of "comfort level" for me as it is. Sometimes I just need to sit back and let it go. Stubbornness gets the best of me at times (admittedly). With that I'll exit the thread and look forward to talking with you again, bk. Beleive it or not, I see you as one of the "good guys" around here. Good day to you, sir, and GO COWBOYS!

I look forward to you rooting for Cmike today when he runs downhill.

To me C-Mike just represents a probability. Adding him to the team improved the probability that they'll get production from the RB position. If it only increases the probability by 5% or 10%, I'm OK with that for conditional 7th round pick. It definitely is not a guarantee of success as some people seem to believe.

Simple math.

And that's where I veer a little from the status quo. I don't think it represents probability at all. I think it represents hope. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it's certainly not a sound strategy. One thing is for certain: we have to find out what we have in the guy. With any luck it's a good find.

Which is true And I agree. Obviously if it wasn't a contract year he probably sits out or if the team wasn't in the process of a playoff run.

Agree. I do think it was silly not to give him more than 1 carry in each of the past 2 games. They might as well use the 46 man roster spot on another special teams player or they could have made Collins active instead of having C-Mike active for 1 carry.

They can split up the RB duties like they did when Dunbar was playing with McFadden replacing Dunbar and C-Mike replacing McFadden. If C-Mike has success then give him more carries. If Randle has better success, then give him more carries. It really shouldn't be that complicated. I guess if they don't trust C-Mike in pass blocking then it could be more complicated on when/where they use him.

What is the difference between a 10% probability and hope?

A lottery ticket represents a probability. The more of them you have the higher the probability of winning or if you buy the ones that just pay a few thousand instead of millions your probability of winning is higher. It all involves hope even if you've bought enough tickets to increase your probability to 99%. Anything less than 100% involves hope.

Fair enough.

Some of us had our heads screwed on right and predicted as much. He might not even have 3 carries if Randle doesn't get hurt.

Yeah and he looked pathetic in all three, Yet McFadden is running and got robbed on that TD getting called back.

Dude your a troll....and for McFadden of all things. I can't wait till this guy gets a real shot and then you could crawl back into your mothers basement
