LOL at the people that are ready to have a heart attack if Michael doesn't get a bulk of the carries. The reason that he washed out in Seattle is because he's stupid. It was widely reported (especially after the trade) that he had issues grasping a playbook that he'd been involved with for two years, yet magically, he's going to come in and save the season with a mere few weeks in a new offense. The guy was had for a 7th round pick for a reason. Yet, some are naive enough to actually believe that our season hinges on Christine Michael getting more carries. Laughable.

You can't have a guy that doesn't know the offense putting the rest of the team in jeopardy because he's the one out of eleven that has no clue what his responsibility is (especially in pass protection). If I had to guess that's the reason that he can only be trusted (at this point) with one carry a game. If he was that much more of a talent than Randle or McFadden he would have seen more work. He isn't and, thus, he hasn't. Everyone in this organization wants to win. To think they are holding Michael back because they "don't want to admit a mistake" is thinking from the corner of 1st and Main in Stupidville. Shockingly, people actually believe that dumb bull**** rather than an actual logical explanation (that the guy has trouble grasping offensive concepts, which already been documented). Zone mentality at it's finest.

:clap::bow::clap:

And this is for the peeps that are still hung up on a Philly RB.. They know who they are.. When He left he said he chose philly bc "they presented the best chance to win a Superbowl." wait what?! Huh! :igglestrophy:... Lol, you almost had me...don't let the door hit you in the ... On the way out!

Broaddus and Mickey insinuated it just this week on TalkingCowboys.com when the question was asked why CMike wouldn't be the starter after the bye... Without flat out calling someone dumb, they insinuated that it was taking him longer than "they thought" to pick up our system. Imagine that. So, all this praise for a guy with average skills and below average mental capacity. Here's an Idea... How bout we shore up the OL and get a better play caller at QB to help the RBs! Oh wait, that's exactly what the FO is doing... Yet some people think the FO are the dummy's.. You guys are so halarious.

lol, so let me get this straight.. So you think Randle is only starting because JJ & the FO are stubborn and trying to make a point to who? The fans? The media? Themselves? That's moronic thinking to suggest that when everything they've done so far this year suggest otherwise... Trading for Cassel, Michaels, picking another RB and DT off practice squads, working out even more FA RBs, and switching out our LG for a rookie.. Yet the FO is sticking to there guns bc of the decision not to overpay Murray? And let's not get it wrong bc this has been talked ab WAY too much by you.. Murrays production dosent constitute $8.5 a year and $21 guaranteed! Sounds to me like someone's grasping for straws and wants to blame JJ for the teams failures just like the media... Stop listening to BSPN! If you haven't noticed, our true MVP (Romo) has been out including his right hand man and Probowl WR Dez. Weeden and the rest of the WRs are a huge drop of from those two. This ultimately is why our RBs are finding it difficult to run. Just go ask you fav how he likes it in Philly.. When Bradford is on, Murray has room to run, when Bradford is sucking wind.. Murray is getting negative yards.. Funny how the TEAM works. JJ & Co. have done a great job. It's hard to account for injuries and still be successful, that's proven around the league. The better teams tend to be the healthiest. And btw.. I've never understood the fans that hate the owner and blame him for everything, yet they're still fans.

You clearly have no idea where my thoughts lie.

Randle is the poster child for the "we were right" campaign by the front office. He was next in line and once they realized their cold shoulder effort was backfiring they hugged Randle like a grandparent cherishes grands. Their judgment is clouded by their willingness to not appear wrong.

I don't watch BSPN. Stopped watching them years ago..... NFLN only.

I will keep saying it until people like you get it.. Before Romo went down, he passed 45 times against the Giants. After that week 1 swing I said:

Romo can't sustain this for a full season.
We cannot go back to the pass centric offense that drove us to multiple 8-8 seasons of recent past.
We have to achieve the balance we had last year with this committee approach.
This 45 attempts per game will not be the winning formula.

Those were my thoughts back then. So, as you can see, I was already seeing things that left room for pause even after a hard fought victory against the Giants during which we were indeed at full speed. So that "all would be OK in the world if we had Romo right now" slant doesn't fly with me.

Jerry loves the Cowboys. They strike at the depths of his heart. As much as I have crowed about how I hate seeing him come down to the sidelines (still do to this day.. an owner belongs away from the area where the coaches earn their keep), I have a deep appreciation for all Jerry has done for our Boys. Period.

Try not to cloud the picture about the RB situation by mentioning all of the other moves the FO has made during the season. Those have largely been made out of desperation and the realization that perhaps they should have done things differently in the offseason. Let me know when last our FO was so active in making moves during the regular season. I have plenty of time.

Now we come to everyone's favorite "basic" response. & I quote....

Demarco isn't doing so well in Philly huh huh huh

One last time... Demarco never fit Chip's scheme. It didn't take a detective to figure out that the signing of Demarco was more a move to remove him from a hated rival than it was to bring him to Philly. Then Chip was charged with figuring out how to make that square peg fit into that round hole. It took a few weeks but he finally started figuring it out and the end result has been positive for Demarco. Look for that to continue now with Chip firmly on the hot seat for thinking he is smarter and better than every one else on the planet. A little humility is doing Chip and the Eagles some good.

Scheme scheme scheme.

Hopefully I helped clear up a few misconceptions.

Actually it cleared up nothing but I can clearly see why you love it so.

yeah that is 'widely reported'

Fisher and Broaddus also insinuated Michael would get the starters carries this week.

You and buddy Scalper can keep laughing as we keep piling up losses.

What does that say about Randle? Like I said before the whispers were to put pressure on Randle. Let's be honest here do we really want a RB like that? Did Emmitt ever need that? Did Murray ever need that? The answer is no.

Nope lol

He plays like a guy who got handed the job because he basically did

Even if Randle averages 80 yards a game the rest of the way, I still take Elliott in the first

Man oh man. You're on point today sir.

But I guess we should be impressed by news that Randle flipped a switch when threatened.

Disappointing to say the least. And, for the record, Murray needed a contract year to actually give it his all. I wouldn't exactly put him in the Emmitt stratosphere but you're on point with the rest of it. Ugh.

Go back and read the posts when Michael was traded for and you'll see the comments regarding what was "widely reported" or stick your head in the sand. No worries either way.

Oh and we're laughing alright. I wonder at who?

You should be laughing at our RBBC but if choose to look away I understand.

And that is still not anywhere near widely reported. In fact the reports were more about consistency and maturity and not his intelligence.

I understand but I'd consider Murrays year last year the perfect storm from the line talent and the way the team played. He's always run hard he just stayed healthy and my point including him with Emmitt was players like these guys don't need coaches putting pressure on them the desire burns deep inside. That's always been apparent with Murray

Don't we as fans want both C-Mike and Randle to have success? I would be happy if either or both become dominant players.

They seem to have a lot of similarities. Neither seems to be the brightest bulb in the box and both have some questions about their mental makeup. Neither seems to be a really bad guy but both seem to be a little flaky.

Randle is 23 and C-Mike is 24 so it's possible that they can grow up and get past those issues. They both have a great opportunity.

I DO laugh at our RBBC.

It was widely reported enough that it was the ONLY thing that I distinctly remember from the trade. My very first thoughts were "Great, we grabbed another one just as dumb as Randle".

The position IS a joke. The fact that ANYONE would hinge their hopes on the turnaround predicated on a dumbell like Michael only illustrates the point, bk.

I'm a Cowboys fan. I want ANY player in our uni to succeed. My point in this whole thread is that i don't buy into Michael at all. Trying to turn it into ANYTHING else (which several have tried) is intellectually dishonest.

You're a good poster, bk, and this has already gone beyond any type of "comfort level" for me as it is. Sometimes I just need to sit back and let it go. Stubbornness gets the best of me at times (admittedly). With that I'll exit the thread and look forward to talking with you again, bk. Beleive it or not, I see you as one of the "good guys" around here. Good day to you, sir, and GO COWBOYS!
