FWIW, GAC says there's even more to the story than what's in Ed's ESPN article, and they're about to have Ed on to talk about it.

Sorry-I don't buy it. For one, it was a BRUISED thumb get got on 12/16, NOT a sprained one like Favre and Warner had once upon a time ago. And two, we DID have the bye week.

By last Sun, it SHOULD have been all but forgotten, no ifs, ands, or buts.

Again-Ed Werder and ESPN probably realizes their audience is getting sick and tired of hearing about the Pats and Fudgers all day, so they're trying to create some soap-operish story.:bang2:

Yeah... Marvin Harrison had a bruised knee all year.

After all, that's what the injury report said.

How do you know it was only bruised...Wade is notorious for downplaying injuries...I dont know if it was sprained but it seems to be worse than bruised with all the precautions they took.

This GAC show is very interesting, I just turned it on, hope someone is summarizing...Ed Werder is speculating out of his backside but still interesting.

If that is true, I could believe it.

As a catcher in baseball I hurt my left hand thumb one season and it would heal up, or stop hurting for awhile, but the least little thing would bring the pain back in agonizing fashion. The only time it did heal was after the season...

Still, I don't like excuses because Romo made some throws that COULD HAVE WON THE GAME...CRAYTON!!

So youre a catcher, eh? Cannot sya im surprised. :laugh1:

Were you here the week following the Eagles game? Romo didn't have to go in for any kind of special treatment(which is always the case for sprains), and he practiced pretty much fully that week.

What are you saying?

He couldn't even take snaps under center for 3-4 days because of the pain!

Get your "facts" straight.

Again-Romo DIDN'T get special treatment on his thumb, which generally means it's not a sprain(even Werder ellaborated on this that week).

How are these "facts wrong"?

Are you really that clueless he received treatment ALL WEEK LONG...

BTW if Werder is your only source of information then I can see why you would be so misled.

*sigh* I was talking about SPECIAL TREATMENT(not the regular treatment), which Werder ellaborated on.

Fine, they did not call it SPECIAL treatment...nor did they define anywhere what type of treatment it was. If you look at my first post concerning it to you I said he may not have sprained it but might have done more than bruised it. Whatever he did it obviously bothered him through the rest of the season.

BTW, do you think its possible, in attempts to hide the severity of the injury that the exact treatment he recieved was not specified....not saying this is the case but it is possible. And, he was very limited in Practice the next week, in response to your first statement.

But yes you are correct no where does it say he recieved "Special" treatement.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Romo's thumb contributed to his play the last few weeks. I simply don't trust Wade to be forthcoming re Cowboy injuries cause there has been too many times (starting in preseason/TC) when he has been so far off the mark or even somewhat out of the loop/unprepared to discuss injuries when questioned by the media. So football players play with pain and I've no doubt that Romo would downplay any kind of injury to himself. I do know that after the Carolina game Romo was asked about his thumb and he responded that adrenaline will get you throw any pain. So it sounds to me like he certainly was still bothered by his thumb injury.
