The truth is that reporters almost always know more than folks want to admit. In one way or another, I have been in the media for more than 30 years. I don't like much of what it has become. I don't defend much of what I see. But I do understand how things work. And I don't believe these guys are making this stuff up. I don't believe it, and if it were true, I think you would see Cowboys management raise the issue much, much more strongly.

The thing about Owens... he has a track record. There is a reason he is even a member of the Cowboys. Folks seem to forget that reason... or that Dallas was bidding against itself, nobody else for his services.

I don't think it's all Owens' fault. I think it's a shame that he catches some undeserved crticism. But the fact is, he is a major distraction. He has always been a major distraction. It's reality.

As one media person to another, I understand perfectly, brother.

There's a difference between sensationlism and fabrication. But to some, the terms are synonymous.

It would be interesting, some time, if folks could see one of these guys' cell phone records. I think they would be absolutely astonished.

Agreed. As I've said before, these reporters have many of these players cell phone numbers.

I have the personal numbers of my sources and people I cover on my beat. I have the cell phone numbers of some famous celebrities in my electronic address book.

It's standard procedure for media people - those good at their job, that is.

Question: How is Garrett going to tell TO to keep his mouth shut, when Jerry Jones echoed TO's complaints? TO complains and Jerry comes out publicly and agreed with him. Ok, now what does the offensive coordinator have to do?

Did Andy Reid throw the ball so much this year to keep TO happy? How about Arizona?

Wait, that doesn't make any more sense than applying that standard to Garrett...Nevermind.
Reid ran the ball more than we did.

Arizona can't run the ball.

And by the way, the fact that the source scoffed at the idea that Garrett is in over his head, confirms what I said yesterday. Jason Garrett is a good coach and if he goes somewhere else we will have lost the wrong guy.

I know "journalists" like Gallowaste are in it for themselves. The truth means nothing. Just like Rob Parker in Detroit- they have a desire to be thought of as some sort of expert in a field they have only watched from the sidelines. They have the same desire to be a respected football mind as Jerry does.

Their fame and respect is more important that the truth, and like the cowards they are, hide behind anonymous sources not to further the truth but to further their agendas- because saying something many times and then CONFIRMING it through BS sources is the only way that happens.

Did Coryell throw the ball more to keep a toddler in Alabama named TO happy or did he do it because that was his tendencies?

I know from years of watching journalists do this. I know it from it takes a moron to believe that Galloway cannot find ANY concerned source willing to go on record and COINCIDENTALLY backup everything he says. I know who Jayson Blair and the rest are. I know how Galloway is dinosaur in dinosaur medium whose only hope of survival is to make controversies. I know reporters like Parker feel the need to insert themselves into the news. I know Galloway is a lazy SOB who hasn't a bit of reporting in the last 10 years, just churns out garbage ( from an ex-employee)....

Exactly. That's why I think the people who blame the head coach are wrong. Not that Wade is a great coach, but the man above him is obviously pushing players on him -- just like with Pacman.

That's why I say that if you brought in a Cowher, what he'd really add wouldn't be Xs and Os or "passion" or screaming at guys like everyone says -- it would be that he'd weed out some of the bad apples.

But Jerry's not going to give away his power like that.

The "source" says that Garrett is letting the player's demand for the ball dictate his playcalling instead of letting the situation dictate the playcalling. This too, imo, is an indictment of Garrett. I'm one of the Terrell Owens backers but I would support letting him go if that is what it would take to get this offense into gear.

if true, garrett must adjust. imho, this is one argument for having coordinators in the pressbox during the game.

I'd like to think that Garrett has more integrity than that. He can't allow himself to be undermined, even by Jerry. If Jerry can't repect that, Garrett should walk. He'd get another job.

I assume the "ex-employee" is your unnamed source?

When we were talking about prosecuting child molesters you knew a lot about prosecutions. When we are talking about newspaper reporters you know a lot about that business. Where did you get all that experience? Are you a newspaper court reporter?

I dont believe that story.

The players arent dictating the playcalling... because none of the fab 4 were getting the ball... not TO, not RW, not Witten and not Crayton.

I agree.
I believe Gallowaste and much as anyone on BSPN and Peter King also.

Anonymous sources are still verified by editors or other people in charge of the writers, no?

All you need to do is look at the 4th and 6 inches call where Romo MADE THE DECISION to go for it to see that the inmates are in charge.
