Who's going to trade for Romo and his contract?

If we were going to trade Romo, we should have done it in 2012 to KC.
Nobody is going to give the Cowboys the first pick in the draft for Romo. but i would take Johnny football as the Cowboys QB any day over Romo.

1st it is not going to happen since when do teams give up the #1 overall for a QB who is in his 30's? I have no doubt Houston would be a better team with Romo but again no one is giving up top picks for a QB of Romo age. Heck GB only got a 3rd round for Brett Favre when they traded him to NY

OK, OK, just don't say anything to Houston. Just clam up and let us hope Houston would consider such a blockbuster trade. I would love to see Romo in the Luv Ya Blue uni. And ANY OTHER QB wearing the star.

Romo is a shoe in for the HOF.
He's way better than Aikman ever was and a much better leader.
I bet we could get 2-3 1st round picks for him :)

do you spout this stuff without the benefit of booze?

I pretty much look over all threads withh Romo in it and I do not remember a single post ever saying that.

In school you were the hall monitor. And in the cafeteria the table monitor. And after school you just got beaten up a lot, huh? And then your mommy came to fetch you in the off-gray station wagon.

LOL

You take things to heart too much. Hope you don't get ulcers from the stress we put you under, Mr. Hall Monitor.

With the always overblown Scouting Combine now done with, and even with the NFL Draft still two months away, it’s never too early to scheme and scam on behalf of our troubled local football club.

Who knows? Mr. Jerry might be actually reading this stuff. My ideas, and yours, are as good as his track record when it comes to evaluating talent.

So here’s a grand plan:

Trade Tony Romo to the Houston Texans for the first pick in the draft.

Use that pick to draft, yes, Johnny Football.

Stop it right now with your dog-cussing. You can’t bully me.

seriously!!!! where do people come up with this stuff? is anybody really read this guy!!!! unbelievable.

and I guess he ran ths by Houston and they were ok with it too!!! awesome make him the GM, it couldn't be any more comical than jerry being the gm.

They are. Look at their division. They are one of the best teams to ever draft #1.

better than SF? Seattle? KC? Indy? Denver? New England? they are aging and have a few holes. they exceeded expectations two years ago. they peaked.

But in all seriousness...
We just got out of "cap hell" and there's no reason to set us back by eating his guaranteed portion on the contract for another team to get his last couple good years.

I think I've been wrong all this time. I think the ten percenters are actually the five percenters who show up on Romo threads falling all over each other. The threads are impressive - the numbers aren't.

One last thing - I love Johnny Football but he would walk into the same defensive numbers as ANY OTHER QB who comes here. You know that one little stat that Percy told us about - no Super Bowl winning QB in the last ten years has yet to win even ONE playoff game with a defensive passer rating over 80 and we aren't even close to that.

Okay mens...carry on with the love fest!

So you guys cool with a $41 million dollar cap penalty? That is all the guaranteed money left on Romo's deal and all of it would be accelerated into this year's cap if we traded or released him.

Add that $41 to the $18 we are currently over and that is like $59 million over the cap............LOL............start gutting the team, seriously.

I like Romo where he is but then i also understand football in a team sport and the issues go well beyond Romo. I guess for simple minds it is easier to lay it on the QB

In all reality, is Romo's last couple of good years gonna bring a championship? I think there is no chance of it. I thought Romo's extension was one of the worst contracts in Cowboys' history at the time it was signed. I have no hope for the team until they go through a total rebuild and dump these bad contracts with older players. I had rather have a two win season or two and have some hope than these eight win seasons and no hope. This team needs more than one or two players to compete in the playoffs. Romo won't last long enough to build a team around.

If we had a new coach and this is what they wanted then I would be ok but I don't want Garrett having the excuse of a rookie QB .

Galloway got what he wanted out of this article ...... people talking about it and him. Even as delusional as Galloway probably is, there is no way in hell that he is even halfway serious about the possibility of this happening for a myriad of reasons. Even if Romo were unable to play for this entire year due to his back injury and would have to eventually retire without ever playing another down of football, don't look for us to cut him this year. The cap hit would most likely be too extreme to bear.

LOL. The level of hatred for Romo here is crazy. Saying a 5-11 season is "Better" than an 8-8 one, is damn near brain crippling.

5-11 with hope of a quick rebuild is better than 8-8 with a slow painful decline with a forced rebuild.I am an old school Cowboy fan. My expectations are playoffs and competing for Super Bowls every year or there damn sure better be some drastic actions taking place.
