Galloway: Drew Henson released

Wow. I didn't think someone would be able to slip in a "Bledsoe Sucks" into this thread, but someone managed to do it.

The sad part for him is he would still have a roster spot here in Dallas as Jerry's QB pet project for as long as he wanted if he hadn't let Matt Mosely and others whisper sweet nothings in his ear about how he would be better off elsewhere and Parcells is holding him back out of some imagined silly personal vendetta.

Onwards to the CFL.

How do you know that was the case? I'm not saying it's not true, I just had not heard that, and I had been wondering why they chose to pull the plug on him.

Do you have any links to any articles that may shed any light on that?

Well maybe if the Yanks trade A-ROD,he can try for another
wack at baseball.

You know what they say.....if he was that good....why is he being released :D

This makes the 3rd QB that left here not to be successful anywhere else and all 3 of them had their proponents on this board....maybe we don't know who is good or not. Think about it! QC, Chuch, and now Henson. None of them have made it anywhere.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Oct. 10, 2006) -- The Minnesota Vikings signed wide receiver Bethel Johnson, and cut quarterback Drew Henson from the practice squad.

The Vikings also released receiver Maurice Mann to make room on the active roster for Johnson.

Johnson, a second-round draft pick by New England out of Texas A&M in 2003, never developed as an offensive threat for the Patriots and was traded to New Orleans this summer. The Saints cut him before the regular season started.

As a rookie, Johnson led the AFC with a 28.2-yard kickoff return average. In his career, he has averaged 25.1 yards on 102 returns -- with two touchdowns. He has caught only 30 passes for 450 yards and four TDs.

Henson, who starred briefly at Michigan and spent three seasons playing professional baseball in the Yankees organization, signed an eight-year deal with Dallas in 2003 that included $3.5 million guaranteed, but he never got his NFL career going.

He started only one game, in 2004, filling in for the injured Vinny Testaverde before Testaverde took over after halftime. Last year, Henson was the third quarterback behind Drew Bledsoe and Tony Romo. He was released by the Cowboys in late August and signed to the Vikings' practice squad on Sept. 27.

Minnesota (3-2) has a bye this week, and take on Seattle on Oct. 22.

Should we sign him?

Just kidding but I'm sure someone will post it for real.

lol, no big deal bro. threads get buried here fast. Don't stop, keep em coming. I might miss something

You mean the "next-John Elway" was cut again?!! When will this league ever learn!

Lol

Guess folks who thought BP did not give Henson a fare chance, have to re-consider their position
