This would be a stupid move for Dallas at this time. If they trade Gallup they get a CAP save this year but eat $13 million in dead money next year. I don't know why they would do that.

Plus you'd be killing yourself with a bunch of unknowns if your top 2 miss any time. It really would be stupid.

Pure click-bait is more accurate…
Indeed.
Sad, sickening really, what passes for journalism today.
All about clicks.
I seriously doubt we look to move Gallup right now.
After how deficient we were at the position last season, and the fact that Gallup wouldn't fetch much right now IMO, very unlikey he is traded now.
I will say, Gallup's long term position with the team is a question. If Cooks plays really well, and Tolbert steps up, I don't know that it makes sense next season and beyond to be paying CeeDee marquee money (which he deserves), and have both Cook and Gallup making 8 digits when you have a young stud draft pick like Tolbert ready to step in. Seems to me one of Cooks/Gallup would likely go in that situation. Cooks cap hit next season is almost 4 million less than Gallup's.

I would trade Gallup.....

..if he was part of a package to rescue Davante Adams from the Raiders.

He doomed himself with that interview where he was happy being the third receiver and didn't want anything else.

You don't go into your annual review and tell your boss you are content where you are at.
Or maybe he is aware of the 2 receivers ahead of him, and focusing on his own job. Seems simple to me.

LOL. Just no.

What would they even get for him? Talk about "selling low". After last season, he would fetch almost nothing. I think he's going to have a big bounce back season this year. He might have some value then. Trade Gallup, and this nice depth at WR doesn't look so deep anymore.
Exactly. He has more value keeping him. If he has a bounce back year and Tolbert proves he is a good receiver, then next off season you can look to trade him when he has value and you know more about Tolbert.

You can look at his contract and see this isn’t happening
You can also look at his contract and see he is very likely to get traded next offseason if Tolbert keeps performing

Man. I went into the wrong profession. I should have been a modern "journalist" who can just pull stories out of his keister without anything to back them up.

"Is Jerry Jones considering moving the Cowboys to Albuquerque?"
"Will Dak Prescott quit the team in midseason to join the priesthood?"
"Is Jerry in talks with Stephen A. Smith to become the Cowboys' new PR director."
"Jerry Jones to slash ticket and concession prices for 2023."

It's easy. It's fun. And the more outrageous the story the more clicks and traffic it would draw to my site.
