Given the modern NFL starting 4 WR, WR4 is the primary backup. Either Gallup or Tolbert is going to be said depth so it makes no sense for them to trade him away.

OTOH, at DE we have Parsons, Tank, Williams, Fowler, and Armstrong. I could see Armstrong getting traded.

Thing about trading Armstrong.....is he's your 3rd best on that list. And he's reliable. I don't have injury concerns...he just makes plays at defensive end and special teams.

I do not disagree. There or TE are the spots where ew have an abundance of personnel and DA is by far the best of said backups.

I would only trade DA for a quality OL myself.

I don't think the cowboys have a clear cut dominant receiver(s). I guess CeeDee is a little better than others (not by much), but after him the others seem to be interchangeable....IMO.
So if one of them is traded away, no big deal.
Based off the last season, CeeDee was dominant. He had 107 catches with just over 1350 yards with 9 TDs. Only 4 WRs had more yards last season and only three had more catches.

People just say things. Has anyone ever taught you how to form an opinion?

Okay fair enough.
With 17 games I'd think there would be much more.

There would’ve been a lot more had Dak not missed five games. We didn’t have much of a passing offense with Cooper Rush. He only had 102 yards passing when we beat the Rams. CeeDee’s numbers took off when Dak returned. He had three straight 100+ yard games near the end of the season.

Thank you for your input.
I’ll take that as a no. While I applaud the effort, the results seem to be mixed at best. Happy to help if you’re interested or you can continue on the path that lead you to view Simi Fehoko and CeeDee Lamb as interchangeable

The WR is one-year removed from an injury requiring surgery…look what Dallas got for Amari Cooper in a trade…would you expect anything more for Gallup, who is not even close to being the caliber of Cooper. Of course, Jerry won’t be able to help himself and will broadcast his intent to the entire NFL and devalue the trade even further.

If there is any truth to it I HAVE to think they are really loving Tolbert and someone else at WR. I’m no fan of Gallups contract but he’s good for a #3 and depth.
You'd get a 7th time pick and still have to pay half his salary.

Nobody is going to trade anything serious for him.

That would, most likely, occur the day before Cooks goes down with a season ending injury.

Suppose the Cowboys had traded Hendershot last Friday. Accolades and support for the trade would have lasted a maximum 24 hours.

Is there an NFL policy against constructing elite, injury proof squads?

Armstrong seems to be the best Cowboys trade piece at this moment. The problem is with the loss of Overshown, I think Micah will get more reps at linebacker and DA will be needed at end. The question for me is what can you get for Armstrong?

In reality the only receiver on the Cowboys with no questions is CeeDee. I think Cooks is good but how special can he be. Gallup before the ACL was the perfect 3rd receiver but he was horrible last season. We all know that Tolbert was so bad last season that fans in the draft zone wanted a receiver in the first round.

We have good depth at receiver now. Why trade a player that has shown promise? You'd be selling low anyway, as he is returning from injury. Makes no sense.

Broncos lost Tim Patrick for the season earlier in camp and Jerry Jeudy just carted off the field just yesterday during practice, he never seems to get off the trainers table.
Denver might entertain a Gallup trade out of necessity.

#1 Lamb
#2 Cooks
#3 Turpin
#4 Tolbert
#5 Brooks
#6 Moreno-Copper

No disrespect to Gallop but it's time to move on imo.
