Gallup is well liked by coaches, teammates and management. That’s a big reason he is here and not Cooper
A lot of fans overlook this. Dak and Cooper were not on the same page last year. Coop's road games are atrocious and stretches where he just disappeared. But it is a risk for the Cowboys to sign a WR with durability concerns to a deal with that kind of guaranteed money.

If Gallup would have signed this deal elsewhere it would have been " wow thats a steal!" Since we made the deal its " thats too much". Cowboys fans are never satisfied.

Right. Sign that with another team, then fans on here would say Jerry is dumb for not doing the same offer.
Signs here and Jerry is dumb for signing him.

This is a great deal for Dallas. Gallup is a damn good WR, if his health holds up.

I've been pissing all over the FO, but this is good work. Then again I believe in Gallup, some of you may not.

I still want to see Coops cap go towards another FA.

Almost laughable we just handed a guy 62 million with a bum knee.

He's barely played the last 2 years.

Hope this works
Contracts can say one thing but be another
Hard to judge till you see the details
Cooper was signed for 100 mil but 60 of that we won’t be paying

I need to see the breakdown of the deal but I don't love it. I don't think Gallup is that good...hopefully it is a 3 year deal with about 6 mill avg...

The Jones boys are dilusional since they believe Gallup is worth that much. Should have done a 1 year prove it deal.

to dish out that kind of deal for a guy that has his durability issues and likely to be PUP to begin the season, ..it tells us just how much ..how high the club is on Gallup.

When healthy, he is a terrific No.2 guy, imo,... but not exactly no.1 lead.

But apparently Cowboys think he is an exceptional no.2 and felt neccessary to keep him with a mutual reasonable deal ...

I think the issue here is that the Cowboys want to improve this team with the draft. By bringing back Schultz and Gallup that’s two positions they can draft later in the draft or not at all.

With 27 million guaranteed, you're not getting him at 6 per year. It's still a good deal. He can do very well with targets.
