Gallup underwent Surgery Today

I guess this helps clear up for anyone that he wasn't anywhere near 100% this year. Between his surgically repaired right knee and then his MCL and ankle this year...tough year for him.

Gallup had his right knee and right ankle both scoped, two people with knowledge of the session said Tuesday. Despite the minimally-invasive meniscus repair and ankle clean-up, the plan is for Gallup to be a full participant when the Cowboys formally reconvene in April for the start of their spring workout program.

He's capped at being a no 3 receiver to me, he's always been that and never that great at separation to begin with. With the pressure of being a number 2 I don't think he can handle that, a solid 3, a below average 2, definitely better than Terrance Williams at least.

I think he has been a solid two before. The year he had 1000 yards...that is #2 stuff. He just needs to be healthy next year.

This dude might be damaged goods at this point, dont know how much we can count on him for next year.

We absolutely have to add another starting caliber WR, we cant go into the season with Lamb, Gallup, Brown, Hilton, and whoever else and think that is going to work out.

I dont think that is a fair comment, Gallup was never dogging it on the field or did anything to show he didnt care about trying to win.

Gallup's problem is that he is a gimp now, cant run, cant get separation, cant win 50/50 balls, knee is shot, ankle is shot, ect...

Being a gimp doesnt mean you dont care or dont have heart.

Something would have had gone wrong in surgery for his knee to be "shot". Not sure about his ankle. None of his injuries seem to be anything that will be long lasting, it's just a matter of time of recovery and getting back to game speed.

The Cowboys have to find a number 2 and let Gallup fully heal. I just have a bad feeling their going to sign OBJ and his two ACLs. Hopefully the Giants over pay for him.
