The Cowboys have to find a number 2 and let Gallup fully heal. I just have a bad feeling their going to sign OBJ and his two ACLs. Hopefully the Giants over pay for him.
The WR from Ohio State Jaxon Smith-Njigma. There is the new #2, and could possibly be a #1.
He could be there at #26 the last I seen. Need to see after the combine and all the pro days to see where he is ranked.

Tell me, exactly how much of the Stephen Jones "pie" will Gallup be consuming from our cap?

Yikes. This move combined with letting cooper go just looks worse and worse by the second. We truly over achieved this year no thanks to the FO.

Scopes are not too concerning. I still have questions on his overall desire and drive, but I could be wrong on my perception.
I remind myself that we were talking about Gallup well before a year anniversary of his knee surgery last year.

We need a big, physical DK type imo

I guess this helps clear up for anyone that he wasn't anywhere near 100% this year. Between his surgically repaired right knee and then his MCL and ankle this year...tough year for him.

Gallup had his right knee and right ankle both scoped, two people with knowledge of the session said Tuesday. Despite the minimally-invasive meniscus repair and ankle clean-up, the plan is for Gallup to be a full participant when the Cowboys formally reconvene in April for the start of their spring workout program.

Hopefully Gallup will be able to enter the 2023 campaign feeling 100% good to go physically and mentally with that knee. It was a big ask to bring him back so soon from ACL surgery and he answered the call.

This a weak Wide Receiver draft. I would hope we would not waste a top 26 selection on a guy with injury issues. We already have Gallup.

a smart GM would have walked away given the history of injuries. it doesn't mean I don't like Gallup, but it was a high risk and knowing he was coming off MCL surgery less than a year before the start of season.

now, this is going to continue.

I dont think that is a fair comment, Gallup was never dogging it on the field or did anything to show he didnt care about trying to win.

Gallup's problem is that he is a gimp now, cant run, cant get separation, cant win 50/50 balls, knee is shot, ankle is shot, ect...

Being a gimp doesnt mean you dont care or dont have heart.
He dogged it in the biggest game of the year. Watch the interception from Dak. (horrible throw and decision btw) but Gallup did NOTHING at all to prevent it.

He did not think Dak was going to throw that pass

Gallup never struck me as a lazy player. What you are accusing him of, id expect from Amari.

Oh not just him. I saw a lot of our WRs running lazy routes this year. If you havent noticed. The Cowboys arent exactly the gold standard of players playing hard.

We had one of our players literally come out and say "you cant expect me to give 100 percent every play." Xavier Woods I believe.

Even if you dont think he is going to throw it. You still try and bat the ball down. Or chase the guy that caught it. Something.
