I guess this helps clear up for anyone that he wasn't anywhere near 100% this year. Between his surgically repaired right knee and then his MCL and ankle this year...tough year for him.

Gallup had his right knee and right ankle both scoped, two people with knowledge of the session said Tuesday. Despite the minimally-invasive meniscus repair and ankle clean-up, the plan is for Gallup to be a full participant when the Cowboys formally reconvene in April for the start of their spring workout program.

That's how it starts, then every yr it's something with the leg.

I remember when part of this fanbase said we had 3 number 1 receivers w Ceedee Amari and Gallup :laugh:
I remember that too....I'm still calling Lamb a 1 1/2 so we are a looooong way off from being even an average WR corp....Gallup is currently a #4 on a team with a Top 5 WR corp.

He dogged it in the biggest game of the year. Watch the interception from Dak. (horrible throw and decision btw) but Gallup did NOTHING at all to prevent it.
Whether it's the injury or if it's mental. Gallup was inconsistent with regard to being aggressive. It sure did seem like he wasn't all in.

Yep, I knew something was up with Gallup. I expect him to be back next year, playing at a higher level.

Does anyone know if Tank is also having surgery?

Scopes are not too concerning. I still have questions on his overall desire and drive, but I could be wrong on my perception.
I remind myself that we were talking about Gallup well before a year anniversary of his knee surgery last year.
Hey, G2 knows what he's talking about. Good to see.

A meniscus repair is not a big deal.

Most guys will say after a major knee injury (MCL) it’s the second year back they feel 100%. I’d bet he’s better next year.

IMO he”s a solid 3. Boys need a 2 to go with Lamb. Terrible FA class for WR’s so the draft is probably the answer.

I think Gallup is going to feel much more confident and physically better with how his knee feels after the clean up surgery.

Anyone that believes it was the right decision to get rid of Amari Cooper for the "ham sandwich they got is a total and complete buffoon. NO ONE thinks it was a good move.
his 22mil didn't fit

get over it.. yes a god move for cap reasons, yes it was ..he was 2 here and 2s don't make 22mil.. Gallups made 4mil this year and will be 11.5 next and of you want to cut him after its 2 years 23 mil..that a 2s salry .. yes a good move finding 2 vs keeping that salary for being our 2nd leading WR , heck Dalton in 21 nearly got Coops production. sorry man. wake up.. if Coop would have played for, 12 maybe he could have stayed.

in the meantime, Lamb had his best season which tops anything AC did and on a rookie deal. Not bad for a fanbase claiming Ceedee couldn't do anything without the mighty Coops drawing coverage.. the cooper that didn't elevate the raiders, cowboys, or browns to anything special , they are the same with him as without, laughinble. yet somehow ee missed him finishing one game better.

He came back too soon, whether it was his doing or the FO he should have waited a bit longer to come back from injury. Those other injuries could be from over compensating but you could see his cuts in one direction where more crisp than the other direction.

Could be. He sure didn't look 100%.

It's obvious we'll be in the market for a hopefully promising WR in the draft this year, although it surely wouldn't hurt to welcome a vet FA worthy of #2 status. Let's hope it's not OBJ that this FO sees fit to settle for. I think his time as a worthwhile addition is in the distant past.

Was the surgery to get the DBs off of him since he can’t shake them….

The Cowboys have to find a number 2 and let Gallup fully heal. I just have a bad feeling their going to sign OBJ and his two ACLs. Hopefully the Giants over pay for him.
Best Friend is a Giants Fan.
He does not want him back - and that is the sentiment of majority rooting for that team.
