I always liked that scene.
I always liked that scene.
Or another sport entirely. I agree. But it doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be practical. How do you enforce, or keep track of every bet from every player? Wouldn't it be easier just to say, no gambling on sports?I still don't see anything wrong with betting on your team to win or another team that has nothing to do with your current matchup.
The NFL has no business acting like its got any integrity. IF they were so against gambling they would never talk about the Line; or give it so much notice. They just can’t allow professional athletes to legally gamble on sporting events . It’s a fine line the leagues must balance and closely watch to uphold the integrity of the games .
And if you’re a player you’ll have to wait a few years until your career is over . Is that really asking too much?
True, but there are means for monitoring it. Brokerage companies require employees to maintain accounts and specific firms and forward statement copies. Could easily do something with gambling. But I get it that they don't want to deal with it.Or another sport entirely. I agree. But it doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be practical. Fingers crossed it's only Prescott.
A perfect analogy of the NFL and it’s relationship to gambling, lol.
They are serious about keeping games from being fixed. The NFL has no business acting like its got any integrity. IF they were so against gambling they would never talk about the Line; or give it so much notice.
IF they were serious about gambling they WOULD NOT PUT A TEAM IN LAS VEGAS.
So any talk about integrity is total complete garbage. As long as the players are not betting on the NFL in any way, the league has no moral right to say squat.
I agree ..........like asking a prostitute not to have sex in a house filled with men (lol). I understand the integrity of the game but just seems suspending players as first-time offenders is a bit harsh. Why not a take couple of years, and hire some GA experts to speak of each team players. This way you are not relying upon teams to have some person (s) talking to players that have little or no expertise. Even then, I would only fine players for the first offense, X number of games for the second offense, and indefinite after the third. The NFL has no business acting like its got any integrity. IF they were so against gambling they would never talk about the Line; or give it so much notice.

The NFL isn’t against gambling except for the players and those involved with the NFL.The NFL has no business acting like its got any integrity. IF they were so against gambling they would never talk about the Line; or give it so much notice.
