Gambling suspensions coming this week

Or another sport entirely. I agree. But it doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be practical. How do you enforce, or keep track of every bet from every player? Wouldn't it be easier just to say, no gambling on sports?
All online betting is used thru Credit Card and depending on the state and or casinos sports books all wagers over a certain amount require ID’s and or W-4 if winning a certain amount.

I suppose they can have others close to them wager for them but if it’s a spouse, family member or someone publicly known it can be traced by the same identifications.

There are stipulations no gambling on sports . I don’t believe it includes at the track with horse or dog racing . And they can of course still gamble at the tables , etc at casinos.

It’s only while they are active in the NFL which the average player is only about 4 years .

These apps are awesome for anyone who hasn't actually tried it. The players shouldn't gamble but I certainly can. Gambling on football has fully replaced fantasy football and it's fantastic. I deposit even less than I would've spent in fantasy and either I win or the money runs out.

Interesting to see the list of teams impacted by these suspension so far:
  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Detroit Lions
  • Washington Commanders
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • Tennessee Titans
Funny how none of the league's anointed teams have gotten in trouble.

Funny, that.
