Eagles are a few easy Cousins passes from sitting in the cellar.

Their defensive front is stout. Meh for the rest of the team

That play at the end zone cost them. Pryor was wide open on the slant for a TD and Cousins airmailed him for an interception. Yes, he had some pressure in his face but he had enough time to deliver there and just threw a crap pass.

Wentz, for his arm strength, is not a very accurate deep ball passer. He's a true gunslinger ala Favre, etc. He made some spectacular plays yesterday but also he made some questionable throws. At least three passes hit DBs in the hands and if the WR hadn't made a play, they would have been interceptions.

Eagles OL is not better and never was. Peters is still effective at LT, but older and as you saw yesterday, he gets nicked up easily. There are some whispers up here that Lane Johnson hasn't been the same player since he got off the "supplements". He was OK when he came back off suspension last year but was pretty blah during preseason and was just OK yesterday. Their interior OL is overrated. They struggle at run blocking.

Their defense took a blow yesterday losing Darby. Their CBs were just OK when he was healthy so if he's out 6-8 games (that's the most recent report - dislocated ankle and if the MRI shows no ligament damage, he could be back in 6-8 weeks), that's a big blow. Their DL is legit. Their LBs are a bit better than you give them credit for.

Accuracy is a pretty big weakness of his. That's not a great sign for him, IMO. And he isn't particularly smart with the football, either.

Their OL is overrated all around. For some reason their young guards were getting a lot of credit for things they hadn't done yet. They are average at best, and yes, with Peters getting older and more easily hurt, and Johnson not being dominant (some called him the best RT in the game - LOL), they aren't a top-tier line.

I thought Darby broke it. Guess not. Still tough.
I think Hicks is great. I'll maintain that Bradham and Kendricks are not starters on most teams (including ours).

He's pretty accurate in the short and intermediate stuff but he seems to have real issues down the field. A lot of overthrows and underthrows.

Yeah I don't get the hype of their young OL either. Kelce is a problem at C. Put a big man over him and he's cooked. If the Giants line Snacks Harrison over him in two weeks, Kelce might get killed.

You think the Giants D is better than both Denver's and Seattle's?

Didn't we hear this just about every week last year...the next big test...

GB, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Minnesota. Some even said TB, and the Eagles too. All defenses that were to stop Dak and Zeke...
Just a thought, but how did that turn out....

The Giants defense is extremely legit. It will be right up there with anyone's on any given week.

If we are just talking NFC east... Philly had easier competition to put away and it was still a more competitive game. The Cowboys are the class of the the NFC east and it's not even close.

What is clear to me is that the Cowboys are far and away the most complete team in the NFC East, and the only one that has a running game. That's going to make all the difference this year.

The Philly/Wash game was much closer than the final score indicated. Washington was denied a chance to take the lead in the final two minutes because of a completely blown call where the replay official must have fallen asleep. Washington's offense looked better than the Giants but not much better. Neither team could run the ball.

Right now I'd say we and Philly look like playoff teams when the Giants and Washington look like teams that'll come up short. However,it is very, very, very early in the season and a lot will change.

Good insight, I have the same opinion with Giants and Philly a toss up for second. The Giants have a better defense that should give them the upper hand. Hard to tell about the Cowboys yet weather they are real good until all the first team players are present. The secondary has not been tested yet so the next couple of games should be interesting.

Eagles nor Wentz impressed me yesterday.

It may be bias but I’m not too pressed to soul search.

Seattle defense is probably the best we will face this year. They gave Aaron Rodgers fits yesterday. The Giants defense is a close 2nd.

The Broncos defense is pretty good, but not as good as their Super Bowl year. We will see how good they are on Sunday against the run.

Giants defense will keep them in a lot of games. Wentz' inexperience will cost Philly some games. Commanders will look great one week and bad the next. Herky Jerky. It will be hard to predict.

If our play calling is solid on offense we will be hard to beat. We need to bench Morris. Dak needs to quit trying to force the ball to a coveted Dez. Otherwise a lot to like about our offense.

I dont put much stock into week 1 to be honest. It takes a few weeks for teams to figure out who they are and how they want to play.

Having said that this division is going to be good all year. Wentz arm looked amazing yesterday as he gets more experience and learns to control it a little better he is going to be outstanding. Kirk cousins got a bad deal yesterday.

I still think over the long haul the giants and Dallas will be battling for the division but washington and philly have enough talent to win the division also.

Packers defense looked pretty damn good yesterday. Surprisingly good. Either that or Seattle offense sucks.

Don't get all the Wentz love. Guy threw a pick six, which he now has more in his 17 game career than Aaron Rodgers has in his entire career. Also saw Josh Norman drop an easy INT on a badly underthrown deep ball. Looked good at times but equally bad at times.
