Game ended with Flozell Adams

Flo is still a very good LT but we do need to find his eventual replacement. Actually we should have been working on it for a while.
His replacement probably is Free, but the reality is maybe Flozell is that despite his age, he's still a pretty good a player.

This was the dumbest thing I saw during the game. Witten blocking Allen?? ***?

It was caused by the way Allen lined up so wide. I doubt it was the plan to have Witten try to block Allen alone. We aren't that stupid.....I hope.

That and an outside Pitch to Barber  I mean I understand the pitch if it was Felix or Choice but Barber

I hope not. He played turrible.

Flozell Adams was man handling Allen before the injury. Starting LTs in the NFL don't grow on trees. Doug Free needs to add strength in the off season.

As I said many times this year

We should have traded up and taken djackson instead of bennett

We could then instead of trading for roy w (Not a hater post but those picks could have been better used) have taken oher and would be set for some time

Flo being out definately hurt us, but it shouldn't kill us.

To score only 3pts is embarrasing!

i watch Flo the first series of every game. If he blocks his man we are usually in good shape. If his guy gets pressure on Romo its usually a long day. The line fell apart when he want out, because Free should have been on the right side. Columbo couldn't stop that guy today.

Free is not going to get much stronger if at all after THREE YEARS in a PROFESSIONAL WEIGHT PROGRAM. He CAN improve his technique but that does not happen over night.

Exactly... Colombo was exposed today, he was a step slow all day, Free should have replaced him! :bang2: Before Flozell was hurt, he was owning Allen off the edges.

I haven't re-watched the game yet, but Free didn't seem to have much of a problem against Allen. The problem was Colombo on the other side.

I'm going to have to disagree with the Oline remarks. Columbo could not handle his guy all game. He gave up what? three sacks in the first half?

He can't sustain his blocks. Free should have a legit shot at taking that job next year.

Replacing Flozell, that's another story. LT's don't grow on trees.

Good points, Wayne. I think Flo's absence definitely should make those calling for his dismissal to pause a bit. We undoubtedly need to address our depth on the offensive line (ie, get more of it), but you don't toss aside a player like Flozell.

Without him, we had no prayer. Even with him, we might not have won, but it changed the game completely.

Flozell has 1 or 2 more good years left in him... I would like to see Free take over for Colombo.

Great post Wayne and I've defended Flo for a long time on here, but after awhile.....I just stopped because it was like trying to swim up Niagara Falls. People on here hate his guts and I don't know why but suspect it's the simple fact they don't know their arse from a hole in the ground.
Flo wasn't the problem today. At least when he played.

He seemed to do a pretty good job against a Pro Bowler the previous two games though eh?

Too bad Flo was getting burned all day, looked more like a benching as the suck continued. They reverted back to the team they were at start of season.

That's what I saw, too.

On the fumble play, they schemed to get Allen on Witten (or it was a mistake in blocking assignments).

The rest of the time it looked like Free was doing okay on Allen. It was the rest of the line that was falling apart.

Very true...

It's funny because I was watching the game with a friend, and we were saying early on, "Wonder if they'll replace Colombo with Free?" Dude was a turnstile, even early. And then Flo went down, negating the possibility.
