It is easy to pick out Glenn and Williams, but this loss started on the opening drive.

1. 5 wide screen to Price for -1.

This play killed our momentum, and set the tone for a night filled with poorly thrown passes on short throws to the outside.

2. Missed FG.

In what figured to be a low scoring game, one could argue we lost the game on the first drive.

3. Where is Julius?

We get the INT and have the ball on their 31 and we go with Thomas and have to settle for a FG.

4. The lost 2 seconds.

Parcells could clearly be seen asking the side judge if he can ask for the timeout on the play. As the official got into position you could read Parcells lips and he said,"I want it when the receiver is down."

5. The Thompson runs.

We went into not to lose mode.

6. The wasted time out.

3rd and long, Bledsoe calls a TO and our great idea? Hand it off and kick a FG.

7. The hold uncalled.

Blame Glenn and Williams all you want, but the reason that play worked is the RT did everything but tackle Ellis, and Ellis still hit Brunell.

8. The hold called.

Same type of hold, far less blatant gets called on Adams and wipes out a FD.

9. Why no center fielder?

We were still in 4-2-5 on that last TD. We should have had a 6th DB.

10. The rushed play before the 2 minute warning.

This play lost us the game. Big return, 6 yard run on 1st down, with 14 seconds to go until the 2 minute warning. Bledsoe seems unclear if we are no-huddle or going to wait. He finally hurries us up and then just throws it away.

11. Not fielding the punt.

10 seconds ticked off as that ball rolled around.

Overall, I'd say this game was lost because of both our first drive and their last one.

Both teams played not to lose for much of the game. We worried about their blitz, and never tried to attack down field...sans the flea-flicker...and they worried we would hurt them with big plays if they blitzed, so they did not blitz very much. I'd say two HOF coaches both coached poorly, in terms of recognizing what the other was doing and making adjustments.

We absolutely controlled this game for 55 minutes, but never took a kill shot.

They caught a break on a non-call on a blatant hold, and it became a one play game.

They made that play we didn't.

That lost two seconds still gets me. Of course, Cortez would have missed but at least we could have cut him and had a scapegoat today.

You nailed it on those bad, short passes outside. Hardly ever on the mark.
