Cooked a big pot of chili last night and aged it in the Frigidaire. Gonna reheat it and then cook up some cornbread. Plus a vegetable to be named later.

Not really in the mood, but a man's gotta eat.....my dad insists on buying lunch today. Gonna have Church's fried chicken with mashed potatoes, fried okra and corn on the cob.

yesterday was opening day of deer season. took a fat spike buck i'd been keeping an eye on to cull him out of the herd. ergo, tonight it's venison liver and onions. beautiful weather in the albany area, but still too warm for serious hunting. 70's. think i'll give the quail and deer a rest for a few days until it cools down again. bon apetit, zoners.

Decided not to smoke anything; took the kids hiking this morning since it’s nice and could be the last weekend for it before the temperature really starts dropping.

Creamy cheesy chicken sandwiches (basically chicken in a crockpot, shred it after it cooks with stock, add cream, shredded cheese, cream cheese). Felt lazy.

Mine will be served over cauliflower and broccoli.
