Gameday menu!

I just started the Keto diet on Monday. That all sounds perfect minus the cake. Tonight I am going out for dinner. Ramen with Shirotaki noodles and Karaage. Apparently fried chicken is keto. Who knew?

Ive been on keto for 1-1/2 months, lost 24lbs. Stay with it, it works. I’m having ribeyes tonight, Ranching’s post talked me into it!

Did you get the Keto flu at all? I was in rough shape yesterday.
Yes sir, the first week to week in a half was rough, be sure to supplement electrolytes, I use a lemon flavored powder. It helps immensely! You want Magnesium, sodium, & potassium on keto. Believe me it gets better, stay with it, and you’ll eventually feel great.

I havent been doing that. But i drink 4-5 bottles of lemon water a day.
 
Only a scrimmage and a late one as well. Having a late afternoon barbecue for my dad's 86th birthday. Keeping it simple with ribeye steak, grilled zucchini, onions and mushrooms. Birthday cake for dessert! Salud, what's on your plate?

The lemon water is great, keeps you hydrated. You could sprinkle some salt in there for your sodium, pink Himalayan salt works best, I’m told. From what I understand the keto flu is caused by the lack in electrolytes, sodium, magnesium, & potassium. Stuff we get from carbs, that we limit on keto. I felt immediately better after taken the supplement. I felt so bad the first week, I wanted to quit, hang in there.

I just ordered a protein powder that has magnesium and potassium as well. And its plant based. Vega i think is the brand. I hope that is sufficient.
 
On a side note. I have been using this season I just got a few weeks ago. It’s called Bad Byron’s Butt Rub.

Rub some mustard and this dry rub onto the pork butt the night prior.

smoke it today over some Hickory wood.

comes out good man.
Smoked a brisket a couple of weeks ago with mustard and Pete's red hot with hickory chips and some Sugar Rays BBQ sauce and talk about delish!
