Yeah something will happen. The NFL never goes how it should go. Lions should through…..Bears might be a sleeper depending on how Fields plays.Lions are the early favorites to win the North and haven’t used their two first round picks yet.
Last year, Davis was a part time run stopper. When he wasn’t hurt, his conditioning unsurprisingly wasn’t where it needed to be… which is historically how he was at Georgia. If the guy hadn’t ran a fast 40 at Indy, he wouldn’t have been drafted anywhere near as highly as he was.Davis did put the NFL on notice with his dominant year!!!!. Philly has good D-line, but the rotation is old. Dean is coming in off an injury and no one has any idea on how he will play.
I just counted 9 players lost on Spotrac. Is that 6 starters lost?
IIRC max comp is 4 picksI just counted 9 players lost on Spotrac.
They will get a few comp picks back.
I think me and you both know he doesn't care about a winning team. That's not what any of this is about. It's only about money. He'd play for the Edmonton Eskimos if they paid him 13M a year.So he would rather go to an inferior team for less money?
They also lost both their OC & DCBirds so far have lost 7 starters and their backup QB. It probably would have been 8 starters if Howie did not backpedal and extend Slay. Fire sale!
I really disagree and if I could have any Eagle on our team now it might be him. Philly drafted their replacements for DT, G and LBer already. They just need a penetrating DT to go with him but I'd love a 6'5 360 pound athletic pure run stopper on our DLine. Being an east coast guy I know they are sky high on him and he had a big impact on their run D. When he got hurt they went out and got two veteran DTs. He isn't a DT that will get sacks but they have the luxury to bring him along in a once loaded DLine.Last year, Davis was a part time run stopper. He has never in his career been a guy that sacks the QB, so this year, just like last year, he will be pulled on passing downs. That is terrible value for a first round pick.
Naw this year is different for some reason. Last season they were on his knob at all times.
There really are quite a few Eagles fans here who pretend like they’re Cowboys fans. They’re just here to stir up trouble.Hanging all over them, their eagle fan was showing. No one cares about 2nd place. It's cool to advance when you're building something, but if your just gonna blow it all up who cares.
Without a doubt but they are going to MISS Hargrave. Those outside guys will be nowhere near as effective without him pushing the pocket, and Davis doesn't replace that. Cox had a great season but he gets the double teams now, and they've lost two starting players from a secondary that isn't gonna have the benefit of last year's four+ sacks every game. They were not good at stopping the run. I have a hard time seeing that getting better without JH.Absolutely agree here.
They have Bradberry and Maddox already. A guy like Witherspoon/Gonzales with their first pick is a plug and play legit corner.
Rushing the passer is what makes Hargrave special and without him I'm betting the Philadelphia pass rush won't be quite so special. Every team wants a "penetrating DT" but it's not like they can just draft one or reach out and pluck one off the free agent tree. I think it's possible that Carter falls to them, though not likely, and I'm sure that some underrated mid-round guy is going to explode into the NFL, but I think the chances of Roseman replacing what Hargrave brought to the Eagles D this off-season are slim and none. Any GM looks great when he's signing guys instead of saving cap, but losing players to free agency is inevitable when your guys play well, and then when you whiff on the SB and you lose a bunch of starters, things don't look quite as good. I'm not saying I have loved the Cowboys conservative approach to free-agency but I'm not sure I like the "all-in" strategy any better. The Joneses get a ton of flack for shopping the bargain bin in FA and "liking their guys," and they deserve the crap they get for Zeke's contract and the Amari Cooper debacle, but I really appreciate the moves they've made so far this off-season without mortgaging the future.I really disagree and if I could have any Eagle on our team now it might be him. Now they disappear and are quiet I been called them out on their crap. Then they say “oh you just call us Eagles fans because we are realist”…..please lol.Hanging all over them, their eagle fan was showing. No one cares about 2nd place. I totally agree their pass rush is gonna take a big hit. Not too many 10+ sack DTs out there.Rushing the passer is what makes Hargrave special and without him I'm betting the Philadelphia pass rush won't be quite so special. If I can have any Eagle my choice is either Brown or Dixon.
I guess the Cowboys aren’t the only team that favors their home-grown talent iver mercenaries.Mind boggling…..
