Garret first head coach to lose a game like this since 1966

NOT defending Garrett here, but
You could say....Dak, 1st QB to lose a game like this. Or Martin, 1st OG to lose a game like this...
Silly, I know.
The point is that the coach does not actually play the game. He did not throw a pick six or fumble or get called for a penalty.
I realize hes a legit whipping boy, but the players actually play the game.
They are the bottom line...by far.
You cant be serious

The Head Coach is indeed responsible for all that happens on the field.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression that the freaking head coach is responsible for the performance of the team.

Isnt that how professional sports works? Using your logic, no head coach would be responsible for anything, since he didn't actually play the game.
Like I said, not defending the head coach.

But really, in this case, he did not turn the ball over all those times. It was a team failure and the offense stunk

Did I say he wasnt?

Of course he shares in the blame...even most of it if you prefer.
But anyone who ever played or coached sports knows, that you actually have to perform on the field to win the game

That is not debatable.

Just because your pissed at JG...and rightly so...dont take it out on me stating truth here.

And Landry was in his 4th season......Garrett's a record breaker.....just the wrong kind of records.

Landry didn’t have free agency and Dallas was an expansion team and had to build from ground up.. Jimmy Johnson had to turn it around the same conditions and Bellichek with Cleveland was doing the same ting gradually until the owner made the decision to bolt..

In today’s era, you can turn around teams overnight..

Who's job is it to prepare the players to play well on Sundays?

Who's job is it to make sure the scheme he is implementing, is effective?

Who's job is it to make sure his best player on his team, isn't ignored when you have 1st & 2nd and goal with your season on the line?

Garrett is a loser.

I had to take a second shower tonight to get the stench off of ME from that game. That was putrid. Win and in basically and that's the effort you give to 80000 fans in your own stadium. That's the reward we get for sitting and hoping for a win.

An average performance by the Cleveland Browns probably wins this game. And we do ... that.

Take his back slapping, clapping, and cheesing grin and flush it before it leaves any more stains on this franchise- which really needs to shake the "ok with mediocrity" mentality this staff seems to embrace.

lol@blaming the players. We've already gotten rid of TO, pacman jones and all of the other 'problems' and we got rid of Rob Ryan, Monte Kiffen and Callahan walked, and yet we're getting the EXACT same results. Garrett is the only constant other than Jason Witten, and Witten is a hall of famer. every other piece has been swapped out at one point or another during Garrett's tenure.

Maybe if the team was more prepared, they would not look like a JV squad?

Ya think?
Sure.

The point is. What if the coaches (in our make believe world) do every single thing right.
Everything
Prep the team right, call every single perfect play ...I guess with no option to audible according to this crowd.

The players STILL have to execute to win

I am NOT a Garrett defender.
Just pointing out football 101...at all levels.

I had to go to mass, so I'm glad I missed the 2nd half. But it sounds like all the momentum we built last year was wasted. Look like JG with another 8-8 , I'm ready to move on from him...

Sounds like Bill Parcells when he was question about stupid losses and playing it too close to the vest that lost us games...I wasn’t out there playing....

Who is defending Garrett?

And if the game was 100% perfectly coached but the players didnt execute, would you still not hold them at least a little bit accountable?
Really?
