Garret first head coach to lose a game like this since 1966

NOT defending Garrett here, but
You could say....Dak, 1st QB to lose a game like this. Or Martin, 1st OG to lose a game like this...
Silly, I know.
The point is that the coach does not actually play the game. He did not throw a pick six or fumble or get called for a penalty.
I realize hes a legit whipping boy, but the players actually play the game.
They are the bottom line...by far.
Belicheat coaching this team would have won by 20. Dak was running for his life on passing downs and as usual Garrett and Linehan never made any adjustments. Garrett and Linehan LET a depleted Seattle D dominate our O line on passing downs. There blitz’s killed us. Our offensive coaching staff was out coached big time. Seattle defensive players before the game were boasting about how confident they were. Defensive players around the league have been saying the same thing for years. The coaches don’t play the game, but, if they are good coaches they make it easier to beat the other team by putting their players in position to make plays and they make in game adjustments when things aren’t working. Without great coaching teams do not win consistently in the NFL. Two sports where you better have great coaching if you want to be the best Real wrestling and Football.

Did I say he wasnt?

Of course he shares in the blame...even most of it if you prefer.
But anyone who ever played or coached sports knows, that you actually have to perform on the field to win the game

That is not debatable.

Just because your pissed at JG...and rightly so...dont take it out on me stating truth here.
Your not stating the truth. Garrett could have changed the game by having his O line prepared. He could have helped his sorry backup tackle. For some ridiculous reason Garrett and Linehan don’t like to chip. They would rather have all their receivers go out int the pattern immediately and get their QB killed pass after pass. Good coaching would have made all the difference in this game.

Sure.

The point is. What if the coaches (in our make believe world) do every single thing right.
Everything
Prep the team right, call every single perfect play ...I guess with no option to audible according to this crowd.

The players STILL have to execute to win

I am NOT a Garrett defender.
Just pointing out football 101...at all levels.
Football 101 is have a game plan that protects your QB on passing downs. If you have a backup tackle who cannot block chip for him consistently. Again, similar to the Atlanta game they did not chip consistently. Well in the Atlanta game they didn’t chip at all, which was the worst coaching I have ever seen.

Yes, this team should beat a decimated Seattle team in Dallas with ease.

Clappy does keep setting records..cue circus music.

We should have a thread dedicated to listing all of the record breaking ways to lose that Garrett has accomplished over the years. That would be a pretty extensive list and would truly demonstrate how bad of head coach he really is. I mean c'mon, Garrett is the only coach in history (probably in football at any level) that iced his own kicker to miss a game winning medium range FG

How do we not score a TD against a defense that's being held together by duct tape? Gurley made a mockery out of this defense just last week yet we can't score 1 TD?

:clap::clap::clap:

Should have beat a decimated Green Bay team in the playoffs last year too. No more excuses. This staff is horrible. Having now seen this mess first hand. It's much worse than I ever imagined. Total dysfunction.
