Garret first head coach to lose a game like this since 1966

lol@blaming the players. We've already gotten rid of TO, pacman jones and all of the other 'problems' and we got rid of Rob Ryan, Monte Kiffen and Callahan walked, and yet we're getting the EXACT same results. Garrett is the only constant other than Jason Witten, and Witten is a hall of famer. every other piece has been swapped out at one point or another during Garrett's tenure.

Wonder who the scapegoats will be this year? linehan? Marinelli? Get rid of both and Garrett might buy himself 2x as many years!

Sounds like Bill Parcells when he was question about stupid losses and playing it too close to the vest that lost us games...I wasn’t out there playing....
Sure, I get it
The point is, its not all one or the orher.
You can prep all you want, but if a guy throws a ball 3 feet over the head of a WR and it gets pick sixed, or a player drops a pass or fumbles...you have to also point at the actual person playing the game.

Like I said, not defending the head coach.

But really, in this case, he did not turn the ball over all those times. It was a team failure and the offense stunk
Another feather in his cap...

It was nice, no stress.....thats how far I've come with my fandom...10 years ago I would have given every excuse in the book not to go, now it's just another game .

best attitude to have. this would have been a good one to miss altogether; one of the most disappointing Cowboy games I have watched over the past 50 years....

We'll put Linehan on the sacrificial altar this year. Maybe dan bailey

JG not without faults in this game.
But he didn't
1 Throw an INT
2 Throw a pick 6
3 fumble the ball
4 Miss two field goals
5 act like a child on the sideline

Now you can question if he and his staff called the right plays.
But in the end it's on the players
Today that would be the offensive players.

JG is the coach and under his leadership we have all kind of odd records like this. Coaches are ultimately the ones responsible. Whether it seems right or not.

Indeed, because unlike other organizations the guy who hired the coach is never held responsible in Dallas. He gets to keep making poor decisions until the day he dies.

I’d punk his *** if I ever saw him in public.

He’s the most uninspiring unintelligent stiff.

Bah! Humbug! Nobody has to defend Jason Garrett. He's an adult.

If what he does works, he's a genius. If he don't, he's an idiot.

NOT defending Garrett here, but
You could say....Dak, 1st QB to lose a game like this. Or Martin, 1st OG to lose a game like this...
Silly, I know.
The point is that the coach does not actually play the game. He did not throw a pick six or fumble or get called for a penalty.
I realize hes a legit whipping boy, but the players actually play the game.
They are the bottom line...by far.
So it's just a coincidence that Garrett has won one playoff game in 8 years, and still another coincidence that Bill Belichick, Tom Landry, Bill Parcells, Joe Gibbs, and Bill Walsh won all those playoff games? Thanks for the enlightenment.

You put words in my mouth.
I didnt defend Garrett.
Just said the players are also part of the equation. Funny you mention Parcells, because he says those words exactly. A coach could do every single thing right (not that Garrett cam remotely close to that) but a coach cant run the plays, throw the pass, make the tackle, etc.

You guys are understandly so frustrated from this season...we all are. But dont lash at at me speaking very basic and simple , water is wet type, truth.
This isnt Madden, there are real players out there that dont perfectly do exactly what you tell them.

Both the coaches and players are responsible. Im in no way defending this staff.
