I've been saying it for years. Garrett as a coach is putrid. He is plain, stinking garbage when it comes to coaching. Never should have been hired. Never should have matched his offensive coordinator salary when the Ravens offered him the head coaching job.

I can't wait for the day this idiot of a coach gets canned.

Somewhere Wade Phillips is smiling. And rightfully so.
Wade smiled when he won the super bowl two years ago. something the clapper will never do.

you clearly do, defending such garbage play this whole year... it bothers you so much knowing that Romo is a far better qB so you look for excuses to defend the fact that your GM levels are like Jerry Jones Lacewell Shante Carver levels saying Dak was playing well this year and its everybody else’s fault until now..
hahaha, you obviously think like a child comparing a 2 year player to a 14 year player.

Romo will not make the HOF ever, Romo will be forgotten in 4 years except you'll remember him. Guys who do nothing aren't remembered.

The only way red jesus is getting fired is if ticket and merchandise sales start to tank. Our moronic owner is a business man. Hes here to make money, not win championships. He couldnt care less about winning. He cares more about putting an overhyped and over rated team out there that is all flash, no substance.

You want change, stop going to games. Stop buying merchandise. Stop financially supporting this team. Then, only then, will change be made by this piece of crap.

You tell me if it isn’t Garrett’s fault, it was Wade’s for the offense? What exactly are you trying to say?

When Wade was fired after his seventh game, the offense had NINETEEN turnovers in 7 games.. 19 TOs..

The Cowboys offense was struggling the end of the season with Garrett in 2007 and most people blamed TOs high ankle sprain and Garrett couldn’t even get the Cowboys passing record for Romo against the pathetic skins that year for a whole half..

Your sitting there blaming Wade, the offense was waffling against the Giants the whole time..

And Callahan is known as an OL coach, which includes running game and passing.. and what part of 20 different lineups don’t you understand?

Ok Mrs. Garrett
2007 Dallas offense was 2nd in the league at 28.4 yards per game, in the playoff game, the offense had all the momentum early until the defense let the Giants back in game. They couldn't get off the field.

Callahan didn't have 20 different lineups his first year or second year still the guru couldn't get his unit off the snide running the ball.

What does it matter if Garrett made Zeke miss 6 games? Zeke missed 6 games because he got railroaded by the league. We just lost with a fresh Zeke back in the line up.

Zeke missing 6 games was part of the problem.

What part of the ‘end of the season’ don’t you understand in 2007? They scored 6, 20, and 6 their last three games before the giants game and the last 6 was against the pitiful Commanders..

They scored only 17 against the Giants and scored only 3 the whole second half in the playoffs. Momentum my foot.. we were scoreless the whole first quarter against the Giants while they scored a TD..

And this was when Tony Sparano was still babysitting JG, not JGs passing attack even with TS by his side was basically figured out. The Dallas offense was struggling by the end of the season just like I said and carried though until Jason Garrett has play calling duties stripped away. The excuse in 2007 was TOs high ankle sprain and then the next year it was supposedly TOs fault..

And if you followed Commanders, you’d know that their coaching has been criticized for abandoning the run and their tight end blocking was suspect. And the Commanders offensive line was known as among the best in the league last year..

Just stop, Mrs Garrett..

A Pro Bowler as a backup, Barber racked up 101 yards by halftime but the game was tied at 14, thanks to a last-minute drive aided by a 15-yard facemask penalty and capped with Manning throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to Toomer. The pair hooked up for a 52-yard touchdown on the game-opening drive, with Toomer taking a short pass, bouncing off two defenders and running from everyone else.

Cowboys were going into the the half up 14-7 with Barber running wild, that score at the end of half swung the momentum back to the Giants.

Pro bowlers are voted by fans and one game is hardly a proof of greatness. Barber was a change of pace back that couldn’t handle the starting role.

And none of what you said changed the point:

1. Our offense was struggling by the end of the season. FACT

2. We were scoreless against the Giants the first quarter, meaning out struggling offense continued. Our first drive later less than a minute. FACT

3. We were carried primarily in the GRIT of Barber the first half alone, meaning not coaching but for the fact Barber was breaking tackles. FACT.

4. Our passing attack, what Garrett was responsible for got nothing. In fact, we completely abandoned running the second half. FACT

5. Tony Sparano coached the running game anyways. FACT

4. Absolutely none of what you said changed the point, which is Barber and the offense, particularly the passing game, did nothing the whole second half and Garrett couldn’t do jack. FACT

Thus, struggling offense that went pass happy and abandoned the run while the defense was holding their own for a majority of the time. Typical
Garrett.. he got even worse when Sparano left...

1 they had 2 bad games. A lost to Eagles and Commanders sandwiched around a win vs Panthers where the O put up 20. Let's also not forget Wade D gave up big numbers in 2007 as well. Garrett O put 30 or more in 8 games, 25 or more in 4 games, and only scored below 24 points twice. Yet they gave up 20 or more in 9 games and you want to talk about Wade's defense over the offense...lol

2. Scoreless, yet put up 14 in 2nd, 1 rushing and 1 passing to TO

3 so if Barber running had nothing to do with coaching ,play calling, Romo getting Barber into favorable looks why have anyone else on the field or an OC?

4. So the passing td wasn't from the pass game? So we ran the entire 1st half? Looks like the pass td drive was pretty balanced

  • TOUCHDOWN9 PLAYS, 96 YARDS, 4:57

    • 1st and 15 at NYG 24
      (0:41 - 1st) Rush

    • 1st and Goal at NYG 4
      (0:12 - 1st) Rush

    • 2nd and Goal at NYG 5
(15:00 - 2nd) Tony Romo pass complete to Terrell Owens for a 5 yard Touchdown.
5. Coaching it and called no it is two different things, all teams have running game coaches. Still falls under the OC.

What year are we approaching with Garrett’s “process”?

Year 8? Year 9? Honestly, he cost us playoff games during the Wade Phillips era. So we’re on like year 11. Over a decade gone. What’s the plan from here? Longest tenured coach with absolutely NO RESULTS to show for it.

The LA Rams HC needed 1 season to turn that franchise around.

I feel like Leonardo Di Caprio in Inception where he wakes up on the beach. Completely disoriented with no idea of what’s going on.
"The Process" involves cashing checks and clapping when they clear...

I just don't see how Jerry can continue to justify JG being a legitimate HC.

The guy is suppose to be an offensive coach, yet every position group on the offense, except RB took a big step backwards this season.

We should make a list of all the players/coaches scapegoated for the sake of Garett. It goes back to T.O. and all his friends in the locker room that made Garrett uncomfortable.

We should make a list of all the players/coaches scapegoated for our GM who will never be fired. The list is longer, and goes back well before TO.

As I said. Did Garrett cause Zeke to miss 6 games? Maybe If Zeke was available, he could've helped the situation.
How does Zeke playing make Garrett a more knowledgeable and better coach??

It's all about Jerry's ego and desire to be in control and have his hands in every aspect of the organization. He doesn't want to just be an owner and hire the best GM and HC he can find, even if that would give us the best chance to win. He wants to be the GM, and would be the HC if he could. Even basically said so several times years ago. But he can't so he does the next best thing and just hires coaches he's comfortable with who don't mind him meddling.

As long as he's making money and the Cowboys are at least somewhat relevant late in the season, nothing will change. And even if he were to fire Garrett at some point you can bet he'll just try to hire another puppet. But I'd at least rather take my chances on us getting lucky than to continue with what definitely isn't working.
