First, as I’ve said since the day we drafted him I will never stop my criticism of Zeke or his contract Personal feelings aside, I would say the same thing of any RB who sat out with 2 years on his contract and demanded to be paid the highest at his position. I would also laugh at any team dumb enough to pay a RB that much money, complete waste.
If you can’t give Garrett any credit for out coaching McVay then how can you say he got out coached when we lose?
As I just said, if professional athletes making millions of dollars need a coach to motivate them then they should go play for someone else, that’s pathetic. Did you ever play sports, especially football? Did you need any more motivation then trying not to get beat by the person in front of you? That’s called pride and it’s disgusting and unfortunate that we have grown men that need to be motivated to do their job on national tv that they get paid to do. I seriously doubt some of the all time great coaches needed to motivate their players, that’s why they do their due diligence on draft day, find the guys that have pride and want to play the best they can without having add extra motivation. I sure as hell didn’t need a coach yelling in my face, telling me motivational stories, etc or holding me accountable to do my job to the best of my ability. Pathetic if those are the types of players we have on this team.
People making millions. That is an envy statement. You harp on salaries and that leads right back to envy.
What you did or did not need as a player doesn't matter.
Jimmy Johnson read psychology books to pull the right string to get players to play their nest. He treated each player differently.
The 1992 season, Dallas was in Denver. The defense was in a famous strip club in Dallas on Thursday afternoon. In Denver they played against Tommy Maddox instead of Elway. The defense was lackadaisical and was player poorly. Haley was not on his game. At halftime Jimmy pulled Haley into the toilet and flushed it and told him this was his career if he didn't start playing hard.
Dallas won the game.
I keep hearing from people that players don't need motivation. That is diametrically opposed to what they need. Someone intimidating them into playing thei best.
