Frankly, the problem with Garrett is he cowers away from the tough decisions. He doesn't dictate what the team needs to do in order to win - and thats a job of a coach. Thus you see him get rattled during crunch time in games and lets Romo be Romo. Thus you see Romo throwing it 40 times a game rather than running it. He just stands on the sidelines like a robot. Heck, he doesn't even know when to use a challenge flag. Frankly, I more than disappointed in him. He was hired to change the culture of this team and it hasn't worked. The results speak for themselves. 8-8 during 3 seasons is not a fluke. Garrett is a terrible coach.

He is terrible. And he has no excuses for his blunders. He's been in the NFL for many many years.

and again, I am not saying garrett is parcells. he hasn't earned the right to be compared to him. I don't hate garrett. I don't like him either. he has done some things right. some things right. what I would point to is that every coach makes mistakes. but good ones over come it and winning covers all the warts. Garrett hasn't done that so every little thing gets put under the microscope. he does need to be more disciplinarian and I think in that respect he is a little too much like wade.

and romo maybe most prolific passing qb in cowboys history, but not the best. this team has holes. romo and the offense aren't the cowboys problems. its the craapy defense. and garrett hasn't fixed that and as a head coach he is responsible for that.

Yeah Shanahan has been terrible. Worst than Garrett? Yes and no. Shanahan inherited a much more terrible team than Garrett has had. Garrett's problems when he took over really wasn't as bad as when Shanahan took over. Sure he made many blunders. But so has Garrett. Has Shanahan worst than Garrett? Yes because he tore that team up and left with a worst record. No because given the team he inherited the results should have been much better. Certainly better than 8-8 for 3 years. I also frankly would like to know what has Garrett done for this team during the last 3 years? All I can see is nothing more than mediocrity written all over it and our record has shown that.

I would argue otherwise. the team garrett got wasn't much good neither...a few good players. lots of holes along the lines. messed up locker room and no depth what so ever. shanahan has been average to below average after Elway.

I am not saying garrett is good or great or anything, but he is not as bad as everyone makes him to be. he is average and our record indicates it
as for garrett he cleaned a the locker room and got rid of some fat cats that had a sense of entitlement. our drafts have been better. for the first time on our history we drafted two OL men in the first round. that never happened under any other coach. and it seems we hit on both of them.
