Garrett Has Lost Me

I was just looking for something to complain about, and I find this thread.

JACKPOT!

You really are kind of like the person you named your board name after...too much whining from the mouth.:laugh2:
other than that it was a great game and a great job by Garrett. I just don't want Romo to get hurt.

whatever. throwing up by 4tds with 8 minutes left is just stupid. the bad things that can happen out-weigh the good by a lot.

And as I noted, I am not too sure that was what Garrett called. On every play, as I understand Romo has either 2 or 3 options. One is throw and other is Run for sure if it is two options. That sure seemed like something Romo did or changed at last minute.

And I already noted that was a bad call by Garrett if it was his call. But with your agenda, you don't want to read it.

Well I would like to see a little more running by him but I want you to do some checking...go see what ranking our offense is in the NFL and think things over a little more after you do.

Wow that was polite. Some serious social skills here. I would've gone for the jugular.

There's absolutely no sense in coming out passing on that drive where Romo fumbled. That was just stupid.

That said, 90% of his playcalls were pretty good.

I do like how he was able to capitalize on his own odd playcalling. When we're up by multiple scores they should be taking away the short game, but because it's Garrett, he's able to call passes to Felix in the flat and TE screens that gain huge yardage.

today was no where near the worst ginger game of the season, the offense is playing well for the most part, but they should be playing well. We have an elite QB, 3 excellent backs, the best tight end in football and a good and healthy o-line.

His abandoning the run will cost us sooner than later.

If he gets hurt he gets hurt, that's what that pretty boy gets for wearing his hat backwards.

I mean seriously, how can posters like this exist? Are we in Twilight zone and some fans get different feed of the game? Other than that Romo fumble while trying to throw end of the game, there can't be any faults to Garrett's playcalling. Even that throw, not sure it was Garrett's call to throw it, it could have been change by Romo to throw it.
I cannot say what I want to say. It is against the Guidelines.

I was a big JG supporter from Day One. And it's not some his inexplicable individual play calls that have put me off his offensive approach.

It's the fact that he calls the run so lousy. That is, RB's talk about 'getting into a rhythm" and the amount of plays necessary for them to get that feeling. What I think that means is that the O-line gets into a rhythm. They get a feel for moving amongst themselves, and the RB gets a feel from the O-line.

Garrett seldom lts the O-line get into it's rhythm. It's pass-pass-pass or pass-run-pass but never a real commitment to the run. Which is fine when the passing game is hot, but when it's not, the whole offense is out of sync.

Bottom line: JG is just lucky he has a QB like Romo.

Man you picked a heck of a week to bust on JG.

The great thing (big picture, whatever) is, we've got the talent on the field, and as long as we're healthy on offense, Garrett can almost do no wrong.

But yeah, he's got no feel for the run game. That's kinda why Dan Reeves went to the Ranch for a couple of days, I'd have to guess.

Offense has put up alot of points the last two games. It is hard to find fault in what Garrett has done. There are always things that could be better but I am not going to fault him for play calling. He is going with the "trend is your friend" school of play calling. Right now that trend is the passing game is clicking, so he is riding the wave. The good news is that this team can run the ball as needed. Cut Carrott Top some slack.

Uh, you do know that a running back can get jacked up just as bad with running the ball, right? What if Jones or Barber got hurt? Would that be Garrett's fault too?

Sheesh...

bad arguement. if Jones or Barber gets hurt we still have the other and Choice. If Romo gets hurt we're screwed.

I read the OP and thought immediately about your 'cut Scandrick, send a message' comment in the other thread.

To the OP: :laugh2:

And this is how you know they have an agenda. If we do well, it's because of the players. If we do poorly, it's Garrett's fault. Set it up so you can't lose.

Actually if they are out there in the 4th Q of a 4TD game, yes.
